And God said to him, "Your name is Jacob; no longer shall your name be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name." So he called his name Israel. Genesis 35:10 ESV

Jacob could have stayed and continued working for his father-in-law, Laban, but he would have missed God’s plan. He could have been satisfied with where he was, but he would have missed where he needed to be. He could have hidden from his brother Esau and missed a memorable and welcome reunion. It seems choices have consequences—and not all of them are bad.

Jacob was seeking God, raising boys, and tending livestock. It was the seeking God part that resulted in a meeting with the Almighty One. God promised Jacob the land of his father, Isaac, and grandfather, Abraham. He was given a new name—he was no longer Jacob, but Israel. This name was God’s blessing for the man who had endured so much setback.

Perseverance can lead a man to an outcome he didn’t see coming God is aware that you will break His law—that you will sin. He is aware that you will be impulsive. He knows you will need forgiveness. But each time you turn away, endurance returns your focus to seeking God. Keep doing that every time you become aware that you’ve turned away.

Prayer: Lord, I never want to turn away from You, but I have. I never want to let You down, but I will. I never want to stay in that place, so get my attention so that I turn back to You.

Hi I would offer.

The bible informs us in Romans 3 that no man of his own volition can seek after God . No one can understand a God not seen. He gets our attention through his understanding that he freely gives us . Seeing he is not served by human hands we relaize it is God who works in any believer to both will and empower them to perform the good pleasure of God. (Philipians2:13-14)

We are to do it yoked with Emanuael (God with us) without murumming. Not like that of Jonah who would of rathered died than perform the good will . We I beleive should follow the example of Jesus who delighted in doing the will of the father.

God seeks us so that in return we can seek after him having the knowldge by which to make it posible to seek His face..

In that way we should be carefull how we hear or say we hear His understanding of faith that works in us .What the Spirt says to the churches (denominations) not what the demonation say as their own private interpretation (our personal commentaries) of His . . .The word of God. Our first love that we do return to when we fall. Then we can do the first works of Him working in us with us . . beleive God not seen.

Heb 11:6; And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Acts 17:27; that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
Acts 15:17; SO THAT THE REST OF MANKIND MAY SEEK THE LORD, AND ALL THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,'
Zech 8:22; 'So many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the LORD.'
Zeph 2:3; Seek the LORD, All you humble of the earth Who have carried out His ordinances; Seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be hidden In the day of the LORD'S anger.
Amos 5:6; "Seek the LORD that you may live, Or He will break forth like a fire, O house of Joseph, And it will consume with none to quench it for Bethel,
Hos 10:12; Sow with a view to righteousness, Reap in accordance with kindness; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD Until He comes to rain righteousness on you.
Dan 9:3; So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.
Isa 65:10; "Sharon will be a pasture land for flocks, And the valley of Achor a resting place for herds, For My people who seek Me.
Isa 55:6; Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.
Psa 105:4; Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually.
Psa 69:32; The humble have seen it and are glad; You who seek God, let your heart revive.

2Chron 15:4; "But in their distress they turned to the LORD God of Israel, and they sought Him, and He let them find Him.
Deut 4:29; "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.

I would agree. Because we have been given a new spirit that will not die His understanding that is freely given to us is a rewarder of his power of those who seek Him.

I think in that way a rewarder is one who pays the wage (the outcome of work of the father and Son .The three day and night demoatation of the two working as one.

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We have the reward of his labor of love or work of faith workjing in us but it could never be of us. Because he does love us by giving us His Spirit of understanding we therefore can do the first works of Him working is us yoked with him . . . believe Him. . not seen
