Jesus have you seen him.? Many Christians have said they have prayed to see jesus and have seen him. I have not done either but have you.?

God could grant His children anything He chooses, It is all in His power to give as He pleases, If He wants you to heal the sick, you will, if He wants you to raise the dead, you will.

If He doesn't want you to see Him, it's not for us to demand it or feel we are not good enough, He is free as how He distributes His gifts, doesn't make Him unfair and doesn't make us weak believers either.

I haven't seen Jesus, but I've seen other things, felt more things.
Moses was the only one who has seen God, so you see, it is not that common or that easy after all.

I remember a dream I had that impacted my life. That night before I went to bed I prayed to see Jesus, and when I went to sleep I had a dream where I saw a great light and Jesus at the center, I could see his shape but not his face, behind him were silhouettes of other people, possibly angels, and I remember falling on my face and saying "Who can deny you?", and it was a feeling of such awesome power that was coming from him that left me with my face on the floor. To this day I have never felt anything close to what I felt on that dream.

I did not think it was common. But some have seen him others have not.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Another thing to consider is individual intimacy with Jesus, many spiritual experiences are not meant for sharing with others. So it could be very common for believers to see Jesus.

And I pray to see his face. There is no demanding.

And for me personally, I don't know if I have seen his face, but I know without a doubt that some day soon I will! And I can't wait until then!

Some might say that I would know...maybe...but maybe not. I wouldn't mind if I didn't know...because that isn't the full reason why I get into his presence. I want to feel him sure...but I want to spend time with him more.

And when you are with him there is no need to ask him if he is there. You'll know.

According to Scripture and what Jesus said, no, it's not okay to ask to see Jesus. It's not okay to ask for any sign from God.

I posted on this forum about a year or so ago, if it was that long that I have seen Jesus' face in the clouds, big, huge, in the sky. I did not ask for it however. I have seen angels fly above me and their feet were as fire crackers with sparkles coming from the back as they move through the air. I have seen a large angel stand in the horizon of the Sun, as big as the sky, standing, showing me I'm with God in a very bad time of my life. It's not okay to ask for a sign.

Matthew 16:1-4 NKJV

The Pharisees and Sadducees Seek a Sign

1 Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites![a] You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet[b] Jonah.” And He left them and departed.

Asking to see God is not necessarily asking for a sign. And the passage in Matthew 16 is not talking about someone desiring to see the One they love, but of someone who is demanding a sign before they will believe.

Someone having an intimate time of prayer and worship may very well say, "Lord, I want to see you! I want to be closer to you! I long to see your face!" That's not seeking for a sign, it's talking with your Lord who you love more than anyone or anything. The Pharisees and Sadducees most certainly weren't doing that, so that verse does not apply to Giggle's statement at all.

There is absolutely nothing in Scripture which says she's doing anything less than pure and good when she tells Jesus she desires to see his face.

It's of course true that we should not base our believing on whether we see him, but should desire to see him because we know and love him. I trust those here wanting to see him do so because they do believe.
