Sensitive Topic (Immigrant) Texas governor buses migrants to D.C

I think this topic is very sensitive as people have strong views.

I'll just share this and let me know if this (my) perspective does not seem Christ like to you.

In response to the news segment, I can understand the Texas' governor's frustration
with migrants and the lack of border security. However his frustration, leading
to busing and dropping of migrants seems to show a lack of respect for those South American
migrants. They (the people) are not trash that should just be dumped off. There is
an air of lack of respect, and a treatment that does not seem to affirm the dignity of worth
of another.

Once again, I can see politically his frustration, but ethically the course of action does
not seem to show worth and concern for the migrants.

I'm 100% sure some will disagree with me, that is fine. But based on how I saw Jesus treat
"the least of these", I'm fairly certain that he would have not taken a caravan full of Samaritans
and dropped them off at Herod or Pilates door steps as if these people are trash to be discarded.

Just my thoughts. I understand the politics, but the human aspect and methods, I disagree with strongly,
because in my mind it doesn't honor God or bare a good Christian witness for the world.

It is easy to get caught up in politics and want to be loyal to whatever a certain political group is doing, but
let us not forget that those who came to this country (The European settlers) were immigrants to these Americas
when they met the Native Americans.

And let us not forget (Christians), that not only were the founding fathers migrant themselves to this land, but some would dare say, illegal
immigrants based on the course of actions they took to commit genocide against the Natives.

Now that we are in charge, we have little mercy on those who are also seeking a better life from their
homelands. How soon we forget.

All I can think of is the parable of the unmerciful servant. He forgot how much he had been forgiven and
when he met his friend who owed him money, he choked him and was merciless, and when the word got
back to the master, the master punished him saying.

“Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because
you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’
In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed."
Matthew 18:32-34

let us not forget that those who came to this country (The European settlers) were immigrants to these Americas
when they met the Native Americans.

immigrants based on the course of actions they took to commit genocide against the Natives.

homelands. How soon we forget.

How quickly we forget.

I'm not saying that we should not be a nation of laws. Everyone agrees immigration is a serious problem. But
let us use methods and act in ways that glorify God and honor the dignity of people.

The two greatest commands, love for God and love for your fellow man.

Are all the facts in front of you/us? For example, was there any consent? Did the folk know/understand the plan? (and consent or not)
If so, that changes things. If not, that makes you point even more valid.

Remembering the past as a 'milestone' or landmark is something we can all too often overlook, while expecting and even demanding that everyone else does not ever forget their past etc.
People are not pawns in a chess game but historically, they have been used as such.

How double standard everything is.
One would think in this day and age, where you are not even allowed to sneeze without proving yourself safe for every one else, that people would have a much higher level of dignity when 'dealing' with people, especially those who are in great need.

What would happen if the bussed people were all from one of the more 'sensitive' identity groups? Or children? Would there be an outcry and legal action threatened and taken? Probably.

It appears there is still a long way to go.

However, from the Biblical approach, you have raised some very substantial points, Brother.

I like the way you think. Not necessarily your conclusion which I agree with. But I enjoy listening to your thought process.

It informs me that you are a thinker, and not just immediately rushing to a position without being informed, without

analysis, and without being measured in your approach. This points to a commitment to truth versus a blind loyalty

to a previous or current held position. I believe whole-heartedly that many can learn from the way you respond to points.

I call it like I see it they came in illegally but it is written about what is happening in Isiah I believe none of His words will go back unfulfilled

Both Presidents Obama and Biden were flying and busing immigrants around the country at night time trying not to get caught. But they got caught. As the border crossing became an open door. It has over ran small towns in Texas and Arizona. It became encampment in towns and has become dangerous and overwhelmed small town law enforcement. President Biden's administration has turned a deaf ear to the border states, but the administration is sending some federal aid the feed and clothe, but no shelter available.

Think about a small town of 30K having 20k immigrants arrive. This is why drastic measures are taken to send immigrants to self proclaimed "sanctuary" cities who said they welcome immigrants under President Trumps administration.

This nation isn't 100% Christian.
God will judge each individual for their actions not all based on the actions of a few.
What happens when one breaks the hierarchy God set up for those people?
Give me evidence and common sense where ignoring 1 American for someone outside of it and these felons adds up. It doesn't. Christians know sacrifice is part of it but those you are responsible for who are not aren't under a requirement.
