It's funny I went to church yesterday evening to find they were omitting the sermon from the service because there was a meeting taking place right after. I was gutted.
My favourite part of the service is where they read the bible and then teach you things about what's been read. I love listening and learning. It's where I really feel like God is clearly speaking. Prayers too... I learn a lot through listening through others prayers and praying with others is cool.
However, the joke was you'll be glad the sermon is cancelled! Am I the only person that thinks that's the best bit of a service?
Normally I bounce out of church ready to put what I have heard/learned into action and feel refreshed, revitalised (whether or not I manage it for long that week is a different matter but I try) but yesterday I left not really understanding the bible passage read so perhaps left feeling a bit dim and like I'd missed a chat with God.
So here's my question...
What's your best bit of a service? and why?
