Matthew 23:13 But a curse is on you, scribes [writers]and Pharisees,[religious] false ones! because you are shutting the kingdom of heaven against men: for you do not go in yourselves, and those who are going in, you keep back.
A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! for you go about land and sea to get one disciple and, having him, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
[You teach your disciple how to be religious like yourself, but you have not REPENTED, neither will you tell him to REPENT]
"You blind guides, who take out a fly from your drink, but make no trouble over a camel! Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees , hypocrites [play actors]! For you clean the outside... but inside are full of ... self-indulgence."
Mat 23:27 A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! for you are like the resting-places of the dead, which are made white, and seem beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones and of all unclean things. Even so you seem to men to be full of righteousness, but inside you are all false and full of wrongdoing
2Co 7:9 As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us. For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief [decoration] produces death.
2Co 7:11 For see what earnestness this godly grief has produced in you, ...what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what punishment!
Jud 1:3 My loved ones, while my thoughts were full of a letter which I was going to send you about our common salvation, it was necessary for me to send you one requesting you with all my heart to go on fighting strongly for the faith which has been given to the saints once and for ever.
Jud 1:4 For certain men have come among you secretly, marked out before in the holy Writings for this evil fate, men without the fear of God, turning his grace into an unclean thing, and false to our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
1Ti 6:3 If any man gives different teaching, not in agreement with the true words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the teaching which is in agreement with true religion,
1Ti 6:4 He has an over-high opinion of himself; being without knowledge, having only an unhealthy love of questionings and wars of words, from which come envy, fighting, cruel words, evil thoughts,
1Ti 6:5 Bitter talk of men who, being evil in mind and dead to what is true, take the faith to be a way of making profit.
2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly put forward wrong teachings for your destruction, even turning away from the Lord who gave himself for them; whose destruction will come quickly, and they themselves will be the cause of it.
2Pe 2:2 And a great number will go with them in their evil ways, through whom the true way will have a bad name.
2Pe 2:3 And in their desire for profit they will come to you with words of deceit, like traders doing business in souls: whose punishment has been ready for a long time and their destruction is watching for them.
2Ti 4:1 In the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge those who are living and those who are dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I solemnly appeal to you
2Ti 4:2 to proclaim the message. Be ready to do this whether or not the time is convenient. Refute, warn, and encourage with the utmost patience when you teach.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with healthy doctrine but with itching ears will surround themselves with teachers who cater to their own needs. [self-indulgence]
Jas 3:1 Be not many of you teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment.
