sexual addiction please help

I need ur help,I'm struggling with sexual addiction , it's affecting my walk I'm so tired of falling back.I've tried but it's just goin so bad. I wanna walk good with Jesus but I let him down when i try focus. everytime i think i'm over it , some girl always comes along mostly from e past n i lose it. I have no one to turn to, just connect me to people,give me advice,send me literature,anything.

Hi brother! I have posted this before but I think it may be of some help to you so here goes:

In sexual (and other types) of sin I find this to be enormously helpful:
Begin to become more aware of the presence of God. Understand that Jesus prayed and the Father sent the Holy Spirit to not only indwell your spirit but to walk side by side with you (Paraclete). He is always with you loving you, teaching you, drawing you. If you become truly aware of His presence then ask yourself this; Do I really want to do that in front of the Holy Spirit? Do I want to grieve Him? The answer is of course that you do not. When you get to that realization then simply cry out" Jesus give me strength to overcome". Then realize in your heart that He hears every cry, believe Him for that strength and walk away. If you do this you will not fail.
It is also important to put things into perspective. God has equipped us with a desire to procreate and in the right context it is a good thing. However instead of being a beautiful thing between a husband and his bride we often let these desires take on monumental importance and the can become the driving force of our life; that was never meant to be. Anything that starts to control our emotions and thoughts needs to be brought into submission but again only through His power.

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

It is only when we walk in His power and at His leading that we can truly overcome. Indeed if we could have overcome by ourselves He would never have went to that cross.

When temptation comes stop, ask Jesus for strength and walk away in faith believing that He has sent you the strength you need. Walking by faith and in fellowship with God will always produce a victory.

Remmber that sex is not a bad thing, it's the way God had appointed so we can multiply, under marriage and not any other way, So as you know sex itself is not a sin.
Keep your mind busy with the holy trinity and the salvation of Jesus
Sing, whenever you feel a sexual whim, especially if you sing a spritual songs.
Do something creative and cheap if possible in spare time, like learning a new langauge
learning music, learning computer programing or reading, whatever the good things you choose to do.
Believe inside of yourself that God owns everything in your life including yourbody, So pray to him and say, Jesus please protect your body.
Love the poor people, Give, love and learn from Jesus everything you need.
Fight and carry your cross and you must win.

It`s a good thing that you are not ashamed to share this with other saints my brother in Christ.
The word of God says resist the devil and he will flee away. Flee from fornication brother Lwandie and you can only do that by feeding your mind with the right thinking. Dwell on the word of God and when that lady from the past comes in your mind refuse that by speaking the word. Speak rhema to that challenge. Refuse to watch that which does not glorify God, esp the movies, books that you read and anything that has anything to do with flurting. Flee from that.

If any man be in Christ, he`s a new creation and old things have pass away. You are a new man and don`t let the past follow you. Don`t let the past relatioships bind you into captivity. Put all those thoughts under captivity to the obedience of Christ..God wants you marriage to be a reflection of Christ and the church.

your hardest battle was in confessing your sin to the brethren. Scripture commands us to confess our sins one to another that we may be healed. first, i say to you what i know my Lord says to you: your sins are forgiven. second, i declare you are healed in the Name of Christ. third, i think it is time for you to be verbal with your faith. what i mean is this: when temptation arises then you need to simply speak your refusal to it in Christ's Name. literally look at that woman, if that is your temptation, and say, "i will not yield to this sin in the Name of Jesus. I refuse to dishonor my Lord and His grace. I refuse to demean both myself and you by doing such a deed. I will not sin against my God, myself, or you by committing fornication. Rather I choose right now to honor my God by declaring His Name and Grace to you so that you too may be delivered from your sin as I have been and become a new creature in Christ!" i think if you do this then you will find that your temptations will cease because you love Him more than you love immorality. be blessed my brother! but this is very serious in our age!

Confession is good for the soul. Whatever it is that gives you your greatest temptation you need to avoid it. I had this problem with an ex. He would always call it seemed when i was at my weakest. One day he came, and out of my mouth spoke, I can't do this anymore I have a work to do for the Lord. Yes the urge was still there, but my actions dictated my deliverance. I struggled five years and when I was determined nothing was going to block me and live a life as Jesus was my physical husband, he sent me a wonderful husband, after his own heart. We need good men to be an example that men can live godly and be faithful to one wife.
