As we all know we had a very interesting summer last year with at least two of them distructive Hurricanes that hit the U.S Some very well known evangelical pastors, and men of God were even asked if this was the begining of sorrows that is prophecied in the bible infront of TV cameras. Christ said that before his coming the sea and the waves would be roaring, and there would be distress of nations. Luke 21:25 Plus we have scientist warning that global warming is takeing place. Im not saying this is the endtimes, but i couldn't help but notice "because im a hockey fan" that the Carilina Hurricanes beat out the Edmonton Oilers in the stanley cup final this year (Hurricanes... Oil). And it was the Gulf oil rigs and oil prices that put a big shock on all the world after they were hit hard by at least one of these Hurricanes, not to mention the distruction of New Orleans. Here in Canada the gas prices jumped from 85 cents a liter to over a dollar a liter after this tragedy, and are still over a dollar today. So im wondering if this is a wonder from God, or just coincidence. No need to reply, just wondering about this wonder... if it is one. And still praying for the victims of those Hurricanes...

God bless

Re: Signs and Wonders of God

" No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man." (Mt 24:36-39).

Edit:...

Hi brother:star:

First who are the they in your quote above brother? is Noah included?

Yes no one knows the day or the hour but like it is written, Christ said there would be signs of his coming, this is written all over scripture, that day an hour scripture only means people will not know the day or the hour of his return,. And some have turned it into a doctrine of an immanent return of Christ, this is not correct and scripture can prove it. A parable says a cry will be made, behold the bridegroom cometh. Also Noah knew the flood was coming, Lot also knew that Sodom was going to be destroyed, as in the days of Lot is also mentioned, Lot and his family was lead out by the angels of God...so they prepared themselves for it. So did the five wise virgins. But thanks for your observation brother....

The moral of the story is, we the saints are not in darkness, that that day will overtake us as a thief, this is also written in scripture... we will know he's coming, just not the day or hour of his return. Lets not also forget the signs of the moon and sun, before his coming as well.

Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Christ is still talking here, and giving the signs of his coming...

Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Still talking about his coming and telling us to be ready, when we see these signs.

Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish.
Mat 25:3 They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
Mat 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Mat 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Also still talking about his coming above... Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom
of heaven be likened

And this is just Matthew, there are others who heard him talking about his coming and the signs leading up to it.

The thief in the night? same here as well, the ones who are not asleep will not be taken as a thief in the night.. read below..

1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.
1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Luk 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

The signs of thy coming? this is key here as well.

"God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, 'I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.' " (Gen 6:12-14).

Noah was forwarned by God. And, I suspect that God used Noah to drop hints around the neighborhood that something was brewing. Surely the neighbors' curiousity was arroused as they watched Noah put together a boat that was 450 feet high and about 300 feet long, which gave Noah a chance to call them to repentence.
