Small Enough- Nicole Nordeman

Hello @Mayflower,

This video presentation reminded me of an evening a long time ago, when I stood alone outside the chapel where I had spent my formulative years, at a time of change, and of moving on: and in my thoughts I saw the world in the darkness, with shafts of light issuing downwards to it's surface from the light above, and I was conscious that each shaft of light was connected to a believer on the earth below. It gave me great comfort to realise that though I seemed alone, I was just one of many who were joined in the same way to the Father and the Son by the Spirit. I was not alone, but part of the Body of Christ of which Christ is the Head. Who by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, increases with the increase of God.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.

Wow.... What an image. That is very encouraging. Thanks for sharing that. I think it is amazing how the God who sent down plagues on Egypt, did these extraordinary things through Moses, Joseph, Abraham, Isaac, etc. Would be in my bedroom with me and care to listen to every prayer I say. Sometimes over the dumbest things... but nothing is dumb to God in sincerity. And more then that, to die on the cross for me? He is small enough to love me. Big enough to take care of every need. I am THANKFUL.

I had a dream a long while back that stuck in my mind. I was outside this big church and it was raining. I was crying. It was strange and just random. Dreams stick in my mind often and I'm trying to balance/remedy that now. But this beautiful image really helps me. Thank you.

Hello @Mayflower,

As you have expressed in a previous post, I too am reluctant to mention that moment in time, for I doubted, thinking that maybe it was not of God, but the product of my own imaginings.

I have been following through on a line of enquiry regarding Psalm 82:6, and realising that it had been quoted by the lord in John 10:34-36. had turned to that; then went via my Bible marginal notes to look at a verse in Exodus regarding how the word 'god' (with a little 'g') was used there, in order to understand it's use in both John 10 and Psalm 82:6 (ie., Exodus 4:16, Exodus 7:1).

After reading Exodus 7:1, my attention was drawn to Moses words in the last verse of chapter 6 (v.30) 'And Moses said before the LORD, 'Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharoah hearken unto me? and turned back a couple of pages to read what lead up to this: and my eyes were caught by something I had underlined in the marginal notes at the bottom of the page; they were related to Exodus 3:11, 'And Moses said unto God, "Who am I that I should go unto Pharoah, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt"' . and said, 'occupation with self is the cause of all distrust'. with reference to (Exodus 4:1; 10-12 and 13) as examples

'And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me,
nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.'
(Exo 4:1)

'And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?'
Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.'
(Exo 4:10-12)

'And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee,
by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.'
(Exo 4:13)

* Here we see Moses, so occupied with himself, and His own weakness, that he failed to trust God: and it brought to my mind a reading I made in Jeremiah some time ago, when Jeremiah was also very aware of his own inadequacy when called of God to be a prophet, saying, 'Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.' I love what God says both to Moses and to Jeremiah to encourage them and strengthen their hearts in both cases.

* Why am I saying this? It is just that I feel that if God has given us assurance in any form be it in thought or word, we should not shrink from telling others, but be prepared, if it be His will, to make it known.

Thank you, Mayflower,

Thank you, Chris. Moses had full assurance God was speaking to him too and knew it was right. This is why he did as God commanded him.
