The enemy loves easy prey, and easy prey is a very weak prey!(1 peter 5:8) And weak prey become's a meal for him to feast on! If I as a believer cannot overcome people in general who I see everyday, how can I ever overcome the enemy who I cannot see? Here is the prey for the enemy!!( 1 john 4:20!!) If we as believers allow people called by the enemy to both tempt us and cause us to stumble, how can we ever defeat the enemy himself?? Our answer is our present state of both mind and Spirit!

I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengths me,depends greatly upon whether we are allowing him to strengthen us!! It is not automatic!! To become acted upon must first be believed by us! And if believed then there is no more fear of anyone or anything!SO?? Where are we today in this? My question for me this evening as the Lord is calling upon me to examine myself.( 2 cor 13:5)

Jesus himself who lives inside of us believers is constantly calling our name.He calls us by our name daily, so we will call upon him daily! But many have been playing to long in the mud which has blocked many ears,so the enemy can attack them! And then the enemy remove's just enough of the mud to whisper in your ear it is someone else's fault for your condition you are in! And then we cry oh woe is me,and the prey is now caught by him!

If you have ever hunted prey, you look to tempt prey by smell, or even sight of some kind of food to lure that prey to your shooting spot. The enemy is a hunter brothers and sisters, that is all he does day and night! he is a very fine hunter, don't you become such easy prey any longer!

So how does prey become the hunter rather then the hunted? Prey must have a weapon first!! We do to!! God's Word!! Example Jesus used his own Word to slice and dice the enemy!!( Matt 4:1-11) the stronger you become in his Word the quicker the enemy will flee!! ( meaning RUN away from you! Not walk away from you!)

For there are so many who are much weaker. The victory's we now have in Christ Jesus through his Word are now not easy to count, because we can both endure and overcome through our Jesus and his very Word! Or are we?? Hence why I examine myself daily to make sure I never become prey again!

This is something to consider,it is not a ding upon anyone here at all!!! But if we do not consider this daily, then we are already prey! Hence the importance of God's Word for and in our life EVERY DAY!! For brothers and sisters if we are not hunting, we are the hunted! May this bless all of us,and ever remind us of not just how important our Jesus is,but also using his Word to defeat the hunter, because having a sword out and at the ready is far better then becoming food for someone else! We must overcome becoming hurt by word or deed by people we see everyday, for if we do not, well you understand! 1 John 4:20!!!!!!!! If we do not learn the lesson of love from our Jesus( 1 cor 13:4-8) we will become prey for the enemy! Blessing all!!

I think we will always be hunted - always be Satan's prey. I know for me, the stronger and more focused I am on Jesus, the more Satan attacks. We have to keep our eye on Jesus though. You are very right about not being weak prey - as Satan is like a roaring lion hunting out the weak. We have to understand the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17), and how to use it. And not flee or run from Satan, but face him and rebuke him in the name of Jesus Christ.

"Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8

Good post, and one I can certainly relate to!

The closer and more consistent with God we become, the quicker it is to recognize the enemy spirit when approached and attacked. Now, speak to the unclean spirit. We have been called to do so. We must know Him (the Word), it is our armor; He will give us what we ought to say. Amen. The Holy Ghost knows every word and He will give us what to speak.

One day I was attacked by someone I worked with; he scoffed "well just how did you know that was God with you in the woods?" My mind was totally blank, and my mouth was shut until he spoke these words. It was at that very moment the Lord told me, "because He never leaves me, nor forsakes me." This man dropped his head in shame. I walked away praising God.
This man tried to publicly humiliate me in front of coworkers, however, his admitting "he believed all that "stuff" in the Bible" was not a public confession. He never looked me in the eye once while trying to justify himself.
God has every battle and every attack ahead of you. I am quite certain of these things.
Good fellowship brothers, God bless you both.
All praise, glory and honor be unto God. Amen
