"...I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,to give you an expected end" Jeremiah 29:11.
"...An expected end"
You have a destiny in christ. You were created with a specific purpose. There is an expectation in the heart of God when creating you.God had a plan for your life and that is why He took time to design you the way you are.He made you white or black or whatever colour you are,God made you so to fulfill His plan concerning you.You are not a mistake! Many people are confused in life today because they have refused to diligently seek out God's plan and purpose for their lives. The resultant effects of this is ,a low life.
"ye are the salt of the earth:but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out,and to be trodden under foot of men.Ye are the light of the world.A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid" Matt.5;13-14 .
Salt can only be appreciated when puts to its proper use. This implies that salt has its place and can only give good taste in its place"...A city that is set on an Hill cannot be hid"
Why Hill and not a valley or even a hole?you see, you cannot give brightness to your world until you locate yourself in divine plan and purpose.Only the plan of God for your life has the ability to annouce you to your world.Your litle and selfish plans would take you no where. They could give you some popularity here on earth with no eternal rewards. There is a seed which God has released in you. It's a great potential for kingdom exploit.Discover it and you'll become a blessing to your world.Become a light that is set on an hill that gives brightness to a whole lot of people. That seed in you is the hill, when you begin to release it and walk in God's plan and purpose, you become like the light set on an hill.your taste and brightness is about to be felt in your world. If where you are now or what you are doing now is not what you feel God wants you to do or where God wants you to be, please quit and ask Him for a new direction in your life.God will only rewards you for the assignment He has given to you,not the ones you gave yourself. You maybe very busy but not working with God.
STEP 1
DEFINE YOUR PURPOSE;
"Now the Lord had said unto Abraham, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great;and thou shalt be a blessing...And in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed"Gen.12:1-3.
When God called abraham,He defined his purpose and his specific assignment. The Lord promised to bless him and make him a blessing, as long as Abraham pursue the purpose of his calling. His blessings where in his calling.God packaged all of Abraham blessings and greatness in his calling. If he walks in the call, then he becomes entitle to the blessings.
When God created you,He packaged your blessings and greatness in what He has created you for. Therefore, you must discover that single plan of God for your life.that is your destiny!that is where your fulfillment, joy, happiness and blessings lies. You were not born to do everything you deem fit to do.there is some thing you have been designed by God to do,so your brightness can be felt in your world.
Here what Paul said in Act 9:6 ...Lord ,what wilt thou have me do?
STEP 2
DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS
"And Terah took abraham his son,and Lot the son of Haran his son's son,and Sarai his daughter in law,his son Abraham's wife;and they went forth with them from UR of the chaldees,to go into the Land of Canaan;and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there...And terah died in Haran" Gen.11:31-32.
What a pathetic incident!Terah the father of Abraham died in a wrong place due to distractions and enticements. When Terah left his land of nativity UR,his vision was Canaan but in the journey,he went through the city of Haran and allowed the activities and enticement of Haran to distract him from his God given vision.
Friend, don't settle for second best.Determine to fulfill your destiny.Don't allow preasures of life to preasure you out of divine plan.Pursue only the visions that has eternal rewards.
MY PRAYER FOR YOU
Lord,I pray for every one that has red this message to come on track with divine destiny.I rebuke the spirit of distractions and I pray that this ones will fulfill destiny in Jesus name.

That was excellent PastorS. I very much enjoyed thread.... and why ....because you exalted the Lord, and our following of Him.

One thing I would suggest, that you use the default font, which is easier to see and read.

God Bless You

I really liked this thread. It is along the lines of what I am going through right now. I am trying to define myself and learn what God's plan for me is. There has to be more to this life and I have to have a bigger purpose. I have had a lot of distractions in the past but have rededicated myself and want to discover his purose for me. I am not sure how to do that but I am sure God will show me if I keep praying.

God Bless

Steps To Destiny Part 2

:lightbulb HOPE ALIVE MESSAGE:..Giving Direction For Living
STEPS TO DESTINY PART 2
In the part one of this message, we saw how destinies can be altered by wrong directions, orchestrated by enticement and distractions. Terah the father of Abraham became a victim of that, and he died not realizing his vision.
Today I like us to consider the life of Elisha, and how he fulfilled his destiny by receiving the double portion of the anointing. Remember, not every servant in the Bible got that kind of favor from their masters. Gehazi the servant of Elisha only got leprosy as his retirement benefit-he destroyed his destiny because of greed. But Elisha waited patiently and diligently before his master and he entered into his destiny and fulfilled divine purpose.
Let considered some of the principles that Elisha applied that earned him his place in destiny:
1.SERVICE:
"And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and He shall bless your bread, and thy water; and I will take away sickness from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil"Exodus:23:25-26
Service is the key to greatness. God has called us to serve and not to be served .As long as you are ready to serve faithfully, God is prepared to help you, so you can fulfilled your destiny .A careful study of the life of Elisha reveals that he served his master Elijah faithfully and he got his blessings .Service is all about commitment and dedication. It’s an act of dying to flesh; not pursuing your goal but the goal of Him that has called you .Joshua was chosen to lead Israel to the promise land after the death of Moses because God saw in his heart that he was a faithful and committed servant of Moses-masters and elders in Israel could not qualify .God is not looking for masters any more in this generation but servants who are ready to obey His command to go, and pursue divine purpose, not personal and selfish agendas .David became the choice of God as the king of Israel because he was found faithful in his service as a shepherd. Saul lost out in destiny because he pursued personal agenda.
2.FOCUS:
11 kings 2:1-12
Please I like you to spend time to read the whole chapter of the above scripture, so you can understand the full story here. This was the time that Elijah was about to be taking to heaven. It was very possible at this moment for his servant,Elisha to miss out in the track of destiny. Elijah put Elisha to several tests but Elisha knew what he wanted and was not ready to loose focus; thereby loosing out completely in destiny. Therefore, he passed all the tests.
"And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I prayed thee; for the Lord has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel"11 kings 2:2.
Elisha had a desperate heart, he was determine to receive the double portion. The sons of the prophet almost discouraged him but he refused to bow. He knew what he wanted and did not allow himself to be distracted. Finally, he got it and fulfilled his destiny.
Friend, between where you are now and where God wants you to be, is a process. What you do today, determines where you will be tomorrow. Remember your destiny is the reason why you were born. It’s the purpose of God concerning your life. It was not easy for Elisha to receive the double portion. He made it through Gilgal, went through the huddles of Jericho and did not allow the obstacles of river Jordan to hinder him of his destiny .He fought to victory and became a champion of faith. Your destiny is possible! God is able to do for you what he has done for others.you need to allow the flesh to die so His glory can be revealed-It's not about you but it's all about him!All you have to do is lay down your life completely and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you.Do not go by the dictates of your mind.Trust the Lord for direction and he shall bring you to His prepared place for you.
