This is absolutely one of the most informative sermons I've heard...
It really placed some light on a subject I've been wondering about for so long.
I have always wondered why people teach me that it is 'God's will' when God
LOVES me, and doesnt want me hurt!! I have had seven friends die in a course of four years, and each death brought confusion. These people I cared so much about were taken from me, and I wondered why people told me it was God, when all God wants, is for me to to be HAPPY. And this shed light on the snare in my relationship with Him, who loves and protects me. This world IS controlled by the devil, no doubt about it. But His return gives me hope, that I will be in a place away from the devil, away from the hurt and fear and tears, and in a place where God's Heavenly arms will catch me, and keep me safe. :) THAT is God's will.

Its a great teaching but, I don't like the fact that it's segmented. I fear that many will watch the first one or two segments and never complete the series, thus coming away with a mistaken view of God's will because they've missed the key points the speaker makes in the final segment.

I did not get a chance to watch all of the videos yet. You need to look into the Sovereignty of God. Sometimes He causes things to happen. Other times He allows them to happen. Either way He is always in control. Look at the story of Job. God allowed Satan to do certain things to Job but did not allow him to do other things. God is ultimately in control of everything. It is all a part of trusting Him.

Maybe the title of this thread should be "Stop being angry at God!" vs "Stop Blaming God!".

"And we know that in ALL things (pain and suffering included) God works for the good of those who love Him...." (Ro 8:28 NIV)
