I had a very strange experience when I was a little girl, maybe 7 or 8 years old. I have never understood how or why this happened. I do remember my mom mentioning it to a relative, and the relative said that "the witches had me." Of course, I do not believe that. Any thoughts, or has anything similar happened to anyone here?
I had been sleeping, and when I awoke I could not move. It was as though I was paralyzed. I could see everything in the room and I could actually move my head around to see around the room, but I could not move the rest of my body to get out of the bed or yell to get my parents attention. It was not a dream, I was wide awake, I just could not move or speak. It lasted for maybe 15 or 20 minuts, and was very frightening. It was also when I believe I had the realization that I was more than simply a body. I realized the real me was "inside." It never happened again, but after all of these years it is still a very vivid memory.
