"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Ro.8:15).
I encourage anyone struggling with any type of bondage or in need of recovery support, to receive this message.

"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." (Ga.6:2).
Feel free to chat with me about your burdens.

Brother Michael: Thank you and welcome, brother! How are you connected to Calvin Earl? I am familiar with his work..I hope to fellowship with you soon.

Your brother in Christ Jesus!

Brother Bob...

Actually I got the name from a Boxer dog I used to own. :)
As far as a person by that name, I'm not familliar with him. If he is significant to us (as Christians) please share. Thank you your assistance on helping me extend this outreach.

Hi Calvinearl,

I've just joined this forum and am relatively new to this kind of interaction. I've been saved since May 2004 but still struggle with sexual bondage. I pray about it continually as I'm desperate for deliverance. I haven't told anyone about my struggle with this stronghold. Is there anything I could be doing better or is there something I should be doing that I'm not?

Greetings NIC,
Praise God for your gift of eternal life. Isn't it amazing how the Lord will come down where we're at to pick us up, cleanse us, & use us for His glory? I have had to attempt many things to achieve deliverance. When I gave my life to the Lord in 96' I got delivered from drugs/alcohol. Over the years I have been delivered from other forms of bondage by having the elders of my church lay hands on me and pray for a specific deliverance, while other deliverances have been done through prayer & fasting on my part. Some people have been totally delivered all at once, but this is not the case with me. If you would like to get more in dept concerning this issue, feel free to e-mail me (edited by ladylovesjesus)

In His grace & mercy,
Calvinearl

Greetings Tani,

Thank you for sharing the web-site, it is pretty inspiring. I haven't read the book, but am interested in doing so.

In this day & age, we, (children of God), need all the support & knowledge we can obtain, Amen?

May God bless you,
Calvinearl

What I know is this .gal 5 :16 walk in the spirit [this is speaking of our spirit] That we do not full fill the lust of the flesh.Fasting will cause us to walk in our spirit ,then we can be led by HIS SPIRIT .3days ,water only and reading the living word and prayer .has always been enough for me .But I can not say for another .Pray about it ,ask the HOLY SPIRIT to guide you .HE hears everything we say .And desires to BLESS YOU in every righteous way .or teach you anything you desire to know or will show you anything you desire .HE is on call 24/7 .FAITH moves the mountain .We can do all things in CHRIST JESUS .Only believe .

I think it is important to add, Jesus also teaches us the rules to fasting, (Mt. 6:16-18). Examples of when to fast, (Ps. 35:13), (Ac. 13:1-3), & (Ac. 14:23). These are not the only times we should fast, we must keep in mind that anytime we fast we are paving the way for the Holy Spirit to move within us & grow closer to the Father, Amen?

Brother Calvinearl,

How are you doing Calvinearl? This is my first time to reply on talkjesus.com. It makes me irritated at myself when I'm doing right with God, then do something to mess up my relationship with my Him. I start feeling guilty and then sink lower into sin. I have a christian friend who tells me I must stay focused on Him, but I struggle bad!!. I also fall into sexual bondage at times. I need deliverance from this awful thing. I know God is a forgiving God, but I always mess it up.

Thanks for reading,
Brother Bobby(WordFan)

hi

bobby i have the same problem but god is here i have to think posative thoughts all the time if i dont then satan draws me in with lusting and all kinds of stuff i have to pray all the time if i have alil dout in god i pray for guidence and for him to lead me in his way he wants me to i have alote of christians friends and they help me out i will pray for you that you will be deliverd

I'm with you word / freak. Working on my computer for business and Talk Jesus, devil tries to distract me with anything to bring me down. If I sin, I feel like wrestling myself and slapping myself around - you know LOL. Punishing myself, but (not as bad as I make it seem, just a gesture), GOD is graceful, merciful, loving and our Father through Jesus Christ who saved / saves us will never bail out on us no matter what.

You see, He knows that we hate the sin. So, that is one sign of a true Christian, the fact that we hate evil (regardless of the extent of how much we hate it), that is a sign and/or direction (perhaps Holy Spirit warning us / guiding us) to repent.

To sum it up - you are and will be delivered. Why? Because you want to be delivered, in your heart - and better believe GOD the Father is there working with you.

Amen :)

Greetings to all,
Let me apologize for my delayed response, last week I had to attend a funeral in KS., & I live in Tx. (Praise God, my 96yr. old grandmother went to be the Lord, Amen). Therefore, I 've been OFF-line for a while.

Wordfan, God bless you for posting your message on Talk Jesus, & I admire your honesty. Try this, instead of looking at your struggles as "messing up" your relationship with God. Be encouraged that the Father loves you enough to give you these oppertunities to grow closer to Him, Amen? You're not here by chance, the Lord has lead you here for a reason. If you would like to e-mail me for more assistance & support on getting delivered, please do, ok? I sent you my e-mail address in a "private message."

Remember yall, the battle begins in our minds, therefore we must rebuke the thought as soon as it enter our head, and ask for God's strength to get through this without entertaining it, Amen? In Hebrews 13:5, Paul reminds us what God spoke to Joshua in Joshua 1:5. I'm going to make you work for this one :)

In His grace & peace,
Calvinearl

Bondage, in any form, is a tool the devil enjoys using to keep people both saved and lost from experiencing God. For the saved, we must remember that after we become Christians that we bring much of our past into our new life. We are still in this rotten flesh with all the same desires that we had previously, but the word of God tells us ..."we are new creatures" inside because we have 'new life' in us--Jesus becomes our LIFE and He wants to live out what He has placed within us. John14:6,"Jesus saith unto him(He was speaking to His disciples, but we may place our name here),I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" Without the way, there is no direction as to where to go. Without the truth--His word--there is no knowledge of our need of salvation, of the gospel--Christ's death, burial, and resurrection for mankind--and how to identify ourselves with what Christ did for us (personally). Without life, we simply exist with no purpose. Christ brings all these things together and causes us to realize that it is no more us doing anything, but it is Christ. Galations 2:20 is our example. We must remember that when Jesus died, He took upon Himself, ALL our sin(unbelief), sins, habits, iniquities, transgressions, etc and made them His very own. He paid the ultimate payment for what we struggle with and choose to continue practicing/enjoying /participating in when we have been given the power to overcome them by acknowledging that it is no longer us living, but it is Christ living in, with, and through us and He would not do/go/participate in what we choose.
