To all my brothers and sisters:

I ask that we all pray sincerely and with a true heart for America. As most of you know, Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor announced her retirement Friday. With Justice Rhenquist's impending retirement America will be at a crossroad. Please pray for our legislators and President Bush as he seeks to eventually place two righteous, pro-life justices who will strictly interpret our Constitution.

God bless you all,
Jeff

HI lll3

Yes I will be praying!! And I urge all other Christians to do so. In fact I was going to put a post on this very subject on Talk Jesus, but just noticed this. Thank you lll3 !!! Most people dont see that this is extremely important. Whoever is to be on this court will determine how our nation will go . And it has been going down hill too much lately. Going away from God!! We need judges who realize this country was founded on Christian principles and should uphold them. Not only will we be judged individually but the NATIONS will be judged also. This could be the beginning of someting very bad or very good depending on who gets in there.

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

This is a very important time in history . Thanks for starting this thread . I also will pray with you all . :boy_hug: Mike

For those of you who don't think this is important...
Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor was the "swing", or determining vote that allowed for partial birth abortion. If a conservative Christian was in her seat on that day, partial birth abortion would be illegal today! This is,of course just one of many decisions she has ruled on that won by only ONE vote. Many of which we as brothers and sisters in Christ would love to have seen go the other way. Pray hard!

God bless us all,
Nigh

Yes this is definitely as big almost as much as the presidential election itself. I hope we do not get some antichrist in the seat. I will certainly pray on this as well.

We need JUSTICE and not "popular vote"

The President has chosen a nominee for Supreme Court. Please pray that all those involved will settle this issue quickly without hassles and confirm Gods choice for this position. The Lords will be done Amen.

I hope Judge Roberts is the right person for the task . We should pray . Mike
