What is everyone's take on the Syria situation? Do you think the U.S. should or should not go to war?

I don't know the answer, but I am amazed at how often Damascus (2nd largest city in Syria) is mentioned in scripture.
The first time way back in Genesis 14:15;

I personally wonder if certain scriptures such as Isaiah 17:1-3; are part of all that is happening.
Possibly even Jeremiah 49:23-27; Amos 1:3-5;

Some people believe that Zobah (mentioned in 13 scriptures) could be modern day Aleppo.
Others think it could also be Hobah (Gen 14:15
