My walk with God has been tough and its getting even tougher by the day, I know if I stay away from my old stomping grounds I'm doing fine. But when I meet up with an old friend I find myself doing the same thing I swore not to do, I know that I'm accountable for my actions. The thing I'm missing is "will power" I don't want to keep falling prey to my past.

God's Grace and Mercy are suffient for you, turn to those and you will overcome the evil one. They are the Light to get you thru. Do not give up but turn and repent and seek Him.

Hey man I am praying for you. I have a problem with one of my friends too. I'll

promise not to do something again and it takes about 10 minutes for him to talk

me into it. It really is just my friend that can do that. No one else can seem to do

it. ??? I know that my own will power is not as strong as it should be but we have

a big God. And as long as we as for forgiveness and try harder the next time I am

sure both of us will get stronger in time. Dont give up, Do your best, Then let God

do the rest

Some advice a close friend gave me today...

Don't look at what you have yet to do... Look at what you have done :thumbs_up however small it seems... it's a step forward and that's a big deal!! :star:

God Blessed you today in so many ways  Rest in His peace. He loves you dearly. You are His child.

Hey Kaibeto,
good that you post.

I loved spending time with some guys. My christain friends persuaded me to keep away from them. It was hard to do.
I have no problems being with people who are not christains who don't lead me into trouble :-)

this verse helps:

Mathew 18:8 "If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire."

If your foot causes you to sin cut it off and throw it away!!

Kaibeto, Your foot is part of the problem, It is taking you to the person who causes you to stumble. The good news is you don't have to cut off your foot!!
The key, a simple one. Get your foot to take you some where else. Not to the friend that causes you to stumble.
Get your foot to take you to christain friends.

You have a choice. Go to friend who causes you to stumble or to find friends who lead to life and don't cause you to stumble. It may be a hard decision. Your life will improve when you spend time with friends who do not get you into trouble.

Use your feet to find new friends. It can take time to do this. Don't use your foot to take you to trouble.

May our Lord bless you Kaibeto
