Targeting Religious Websites

I am planning on advertising via Google Adwords in a newer method than I have done before/currently. Right now, I have a basic "all" worldwide Google advertisements (mix of text and banners). Google has an option to advertise specifically on certain websites and I thought it would be a great idea to do this, mainly targeting communities (forums) based on atheism, islamic, catholic, mormonism, etc.

This is where you can help by suggesting your own Text Ad description right here in this thread.

Suggest Your Own Text Ad

Rules:

Headline (Max 25 characters)
Description Line 1 (Max 35 characters)
Description Line 2 (Max 35 characters)

Attached is one of many example text ads I am currently running.

Suggest a Religious Website

Rules:

1. Send the link to me via pm (do not post here).
2. The suggested site must have Google *Text* Ads (check first before suggesting)
3. It must be a forum only. It must be a community where its belief is anything but Jesus related.

The whole purpose of this is very obvious so I do not need to explain. But I will in case your wondering. The purpose of this advertising is to reach out to the lost.

Thank you for reading this. GOD bless :)

Are we prepared to deal with religious non-Christian zealots coming in here well prepared to spread their messages? We have quite a few new believers here who may not be grounded enough to resist being fooled. I'd be really concerned about them.

I agree with SpiritLedEd's comment. I think it's a great idea to try and spread the truth about Jesus Christ, but we need to be very careful. Pray about it, as will I, and ask the Lord if this is truly His will for this site. A door has been opened to us, now we must ask God whether it is in His will for us to step through it.

God bless you Chad.

Good day to all!
In a way I tend to agree with Eshy and SpiritLedEd.
But I have found more than one website where ppl proclaim Jesus Christ, but have false info on there.

Talk about being careful...
How should new believers know the difference between the truth and the false? With sites like those, it's very difficult.
Is there a way to target such sites?
Chad, I'm not sure how your system works with the posting of threads. Here's an idea, I donot know whether it is do-able. In order to have more control over what has been posted, the new items should first go through to yourself or a moderator, so that it can be 'released' onto the site.
Every member of this site should pray for this site, now more than ever before.
God bless you all, and you Chad, for the work you have to do here.
Greetings

Sorry Chad, i just had to find a way around the url-rule, to give you an example.
I trust you will understand.

Thank you for your feedback and concerns. I understand where your concern is coming from, but this is the dilemma. If just one single soul is saved, we've done an eternally wonderful thing in reaching out to that lost soul.

In regards to protecting the atmosphere and reputation of Talk Jesus, that is not an issue. Here is why. Been there, done that. We have moderators to keep an eye out along with my day and night spent here on the forums. I already have (and for a while) spam protection which automatically sends any suspicious posts to the moderation queue including any post with web links.

As far as debating with unbelievers who come with the wrong motive, its the same situation as it has been since the day the site began. You reach out to them with truth. If they continually reject, they are removed from the site. If they purposely mock the Word, account closed. If they show any kind of disrespect towards any members, account closed.

Its not as drastic or threatening as you may think. Not everyone clicks on the Google Ads, not every unbeliever who sees the ads will jump the gun and come here with bad motives. Keep in mind that GOD can change hearts and He is very interested in these lost souls.

I feel comfortable at giving this a shot. I have no hesitation about this nor any worries.

So feel free to come up with any ad ideas you may have.

GOD bless

Thankyou for explaining all of that Chad. You have my full, prayerful support.

May God truly bless this new venture.

Chad,

I appreciate your response and am encouraged by it. Unfortunately, at the moment I have no ideas on how to word an ad. However, I'll be listening for the Spirit's leading. Count me in. I'll do my best.

Great Idea

I love this idea, and will pray you will receive it Chad, try free advertising sites, the way I get people in the chat rooms is done with motive in the heart I place up

TRUE PROPHECY

and I get all the witchcraft people in looking for tarot readings LOL

then BAM up come the scriptures, and I have brought many truth, and pulled them from the flames,

" be as sly as a serpent, but as innocent as a dove"

Whilst concern for the new in the faith is commendable, should we not also keep in mind that we are at war and that at some point they will have to face the enemy.... just a thought, take it or leave it.
