Hey everybody! I have had many arguments with fellow believers on whether getting a tattoo is a sin or not. What do you think? If one gets a tattoo of scripture as a way to Glorify God, then should that reason justify the action?

God Bless

In my opinion, believers who spend a lot of time arguing about stuff like this aren't spending as much time as possible edifying other believers

Mat_15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Mat_15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Mar_7:20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
Jas_3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

People are always looking for a reason to say others are sinning. Why ? most of the time to say they are better beings?

We are judged by the law of liberty.

A tattoo is a sin if you think it is and get one anyway.
A tattoo is not a sin if you think it is not a sin.
What ever is not of faith is sin.
You can sin by creating rules and then breaking them.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

We walk by faith, not by sight and focusing on appearances is walking by sight.
Focus on God's word and a desire for a right spirit is our new eyesight in the faith world.
