Not sure if this is the right forum

I had a conversation today with another Christian, it went like this:
They said of another person whom I believed to be a Christian that they are a devil follower and I said no they are being tempted by the devil.
As I understand it to follow the devil is a satanic religion which a person would choose to follow.
I believe we all are part of God and by following Jesus we seem to get tempted more by the devil, but that does not make us a devil follower.
Please could you give me your views on this.

A devil-follower is someone who chooses the devil, like a satan worshipper or a sorcerer.
I agree with what you said.

I think most of the time, Satanists are actually atheists. I dont think they pray to Satan or worship him or anything... i think they call themselves a devil worshiper… because they really enjoy having the power to scare people or shock them.

For real, if you are going to actually worship the devil, then you would be living a very dark, miserable, cold and gloomy life, because you cant gain joy and happiness when you choose to devote your life to Satan..

I reckon that a devil-worshipper is someone who worships and follows something or something other than christ. In the Bible, Jesus points out that a man cannot truly serve two masters. He either loves the one, and hates the other, or visa versa.
I think in God's eyes there are two kinds of worshipers.
Those who worship him, and those who don't.
In terms of satan tempting people, he doesn't need to work on a devoted Atheist, Mormon or JW. Satan will, however, do everything to try to make Christians stumble, try to make us feel guilty, hopeless or whatever. Anything to distract us from keeping our eyes on God, or acknowledging him in all our ways. We are told to run with endurance the race set before us, looking towards the goal. The funny this is that we can't endure even a little bit of that on our own, we need to rely entirely on God, and he gave us an amazing tool to do it with. That tool is faith. It's a multi-purpose tool, we can have faith that God's grace is enough (2 Corinthians 12:7 and onwards is a good passage on this), that God does not change his mind, faith in what he has said. He also Gave us love. But I sense that I am in real danger of making this a really long post if I elaborate on that.

So I'll leave it here.
