What singing a hymn can do!
In 1779 all hail the Power of Jesus name was written by Edward Perronet,soon after a man by the name of Revered E.P. Scott went on a missonary to India,on his journey he met a man of very unusal appearance,a man from a wild Tribe unreached by the Gospel.Rev.Scott prayed over the matter,and against the pleading of his friends, he decided to go and visit the tribe. As he neared the village,he was ambushed by a war party,they seized him, spears pointed at his heart,with no hope of escape,Scott calmly opened his violin Case,breathed a prayer,and began to sing all hail the power of Jesus Name! He sang this with his eyes opened to every tribe and kindred! The warriors stood in tears, they lowered there spears,and Rev Scott was allowed to go into the village,he spent two years among them and many recieved Christ!! Hymns have always had power!! mark 14:26 and Col 3:15-17!! be blessed all!
