It appears that the 2 witnesses are enoch and elijah.

2 Kings 2:9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?”

“Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.

10 “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.” “ notice this right here!! Wat is Elijah saying right here!! ask urself?”

11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. 12 Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two.

Malachi 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Witness number 1

Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

“and he was not” "Wats it saying right here?"

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Witness number 2

Enoch and Elijah both havnt died yet!!

A lot of people like to speculate. In time they will be known. In the meantime .......

spiriteddove05,
re: "The Antichrist And The Two Witnesses In Revelations!!"

Any particular reason for adding an "s" at the end of Revelation?

My good ol KJB does not mention antichrist in the Revelation of Jesus Christ

Have been researching that -- the antichrist is described but not specifically called the Antichrist -- there Are two beasts that are talked about in book of Revelation

But, have found the passage that specifically says Antichrist -- 1 John 2:18 "Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have hard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour."
I use the good ole NKJ

1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
The other 3 verses in the Books of John tel us what antichrist is,. It is not a beast that has form

1Jn_2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn_4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2Jn_1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Still it's interesting that the term "antichrist" only appears in 1st and 2nd John. The term "beast" (in terms of an end-times prophecy) only appears in Daniel
and Revelation (which was also written by John).

1 John 4:1-6; has "the test". Of course many here on TalkJesus fail this test.

I have heard many speculate the witnesses are Elijah and Enoch, others say perhaps Moses.
While that may be true... just curious, why do we think they will be old testament prophets rather than two "new" witnesses?

Rebal -- in my NKJ - the first 'Antichrist' is with a "A" which is different from the 'a' -- The A is referring to the specific one -- the 'a' is referring to the fact that there have been and will continue to be anti-Christ's. Meaning those who teach some thing other that 'Christ crucified'.

I know you use the NKJ I noted mine was KJ . The 2 are slightly different

The Scriptures do not say
Meaning those who teach some thing other that 'Christ crucified'.
What passage says the meaning is "those who teach some thing other that 'Christ crucified'."

The God-given definition that I've understood is anyone who teaches anything other than Jesus Christ is the Son of God - and that His shed blood is sufficient to forgive our sins.

Some times it takes a while to understand some one when we can see facial expressions :)

The verses is John's books state God's definition . Which is not far from what you say.

He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist,
who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

We Christians believe the Scriptures to be the Word of God , penned by man via the Holy Spitrt, God did not use the term antichrist in the Revelation of Jesus Christ , yet for generations now man has been doing so , as in the title of this thread.

The term 'Antichrist' with "A" -- referring to a particular person is found in 1st John 2:18 -- both the A and the small a are used. The Antichrist compared to many antichrists.

And, no , the term "Antichrist' is Not used in book of Revelation.

I grew up calling it the book of Revelations.

The NKJ @Sue D.

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must [a]shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,
The scriptures say it is the revelation of Jesus Christ .
I grew up thinking/believing the Scriptures said a few things they dont say learning too accept what they say as apposed to what i thought they say was often heart breaking .. The book is not just ,a revelation , it is the revelation of Jesus Christ.

I would submit that the two witnesses will be Elijah and John. God said He would send Elijah.

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: (Mal. 4:5 KJV)

John was told that he would testify before kings.

10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
(Rev. 10:10-11 KJV)
