The bible is it worth our time ?

The Bible was changed on the History channel. Roma Downey (who stared in "Touched by an Angel) and her husband Mark Burnett, produced "THE BIBLE". Millions watched this series that concluded on Easter Sunday. THE BIBLEB was presented events chronological in both the Old and New Testament. What is your take on THE BIBLE?

As I could tell it showed the brutality of of God , I was somewhat taken with the Easter episode but up to that point I didn't see much of the loving God I've come to know and share. I already face the question about a cruel God by some and this might make it harder for them to see God any other way ...! Just my take on it though ,I'm sure God can use any thing we give Him ...in love Rev

I think one thing this series has done is open the door to conversation. I have had several people bring it up. It gave me the chance to present Truth to them.

We Must always see GOD as a loving GOD , who never did anything that was not out of pure LOVE!
The bible is so important for us to know! And we need the Spirit of Truth to reveal the correct understanding to us !

I Believe GOD is making a move on the earth right now ! to gain as many as He can before the Great Tribulation comes upon this planet !
those that are willing ? Will come to HIM !

Many people are Not happy with life here , But are looking for the true joy and peace that Only comes from Above! The money and drinking and drugs are Not bringing those things into others lives ! HE does !

spirit1st: In the Old Testament there MANY examples of the WRATH of the Lord. The reason the Jews walked in the desert for 40 years. How about Sodom ! Many times the LOrd used punishment with eath for not obeying Hi. His anger is nothing I want to endure.

Good points all! Here is my hope. That people will now get into the bible to see for themselves! As you all know they sure did breeze through the parts they did show!! I mean David and Goliath lasted all of maybe 10 min!! LOL We all here sure know there was much more to it then they showed!! But if this series gets people exicted enough to read the bible and study it,excellent!! I was glad they gave many a taste,but it sure was only a taste! hehe
