I was talking a friend of mine an IT specialist in Johannesburg, South Africa called Grant Mugando and whilst we discussed matters of faith he said to me;

"Indeed all we need is to be prepared, prepared to live for God, to say his Truth, to sacrifice, to witness. It is preparedness that makes the difference between life and death, not circumstances. Noah was prepared for the flood, the same water that raised his boat, drowned others!! We would do well to prepare ourselves in Christ"

Indeed this is true! PRAISE GOD

You're right, Taffy, but remember, we need the power of the Holy Spirit working in us to do that preparing. We present ourselves as willing and we follow his promptings received through prayer and meditation, through sitting at the feet of good teachers, and through Scripture study. But it is the Spirit's power that makes the whole thing work.

2 Timothy 4:2 "Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct; rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction."

Yes, preparation is very important. Be prepared by studying the Word, thinking of questions people could ask us and having answers ready. Knowing the Bible is the key along with the Holy Spirit's guidance. Without these our preparation will only be in vain! But I agree with you, preparation is so important and that was a nice statement your friend made.
