Well, we are all here!! The World did not end as predicted!! I get to write another letter of encourgement!! But WAIT!!! As joyful as we are,and the many who laugh and make merry at a False Prophet,and the many who point there fingers at him, making jokes,thinking he is so stupid!!SOMETHING DID HAPPEN!!
For some brothers and sister throughtout the World!! They did die!! To them,this man was correct! Let us for a moment like at one scripture in a different light shall we? Matt 24:42 Lets look at this scripture in a more personal light,one that does not speak to many but one!! YOU!
Therefore be on the alert!! for YOU do not know which day the Lord is coming!!( FOR YOU!! PERSONAL) then verse 44 For this reason!, YOU also must be ready;for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when YOU do not think he will! WOW!!
A big difference is how we look at this scriptue now isn't it!! When we open God's Word,many enjoy reading it as it is meant for all,this is true it is meant for us all,but few read God's Word,as it is meant to be read.FOR YOU!! Personal! example.Matt 24:42-44 reading this now for me not all of you! MARK!! BE on the alert!! You do not know which day YOUR Lord is coming! verse 44 For this reason Mark,YOU also must be ready!! For MARK the SON of MAN is coming at an hour when MARK YOU!!! do not think he will!
This is how I read this brothers and sisters! For God's Word is personal to each and everyone of us! When you set your mind on this way of thinking,I know you will as I have, get much more out of truth,for self,as we have sometimes pushed this truth to others!
We tell others to beware,we warn others to think on Jesus! This is good,this is right,so long as we have told ourselfs first! The power of love my brothers and sisters does not come from the air we breath,it comes from making God's Word personal to ourselves,so that when we share his love to others,they know this tangable love is coming not from us! But rather from Jesus in us!
A preacher I once knew,he had a lovely wife ,a son, and a daughter,this man was full of love in Jesus,why there was not a day,this man was not doing!! something to encourge another,to help, yes to love,and this man had family of his own as well! He took this scripture as Gospel for himself,so he was always thinking, if the Lord takes me now,i want him to take me when I am DOING something for him!!
This was always his mind set in his life. It was Sat,a day for him with his loving family,he would go to his den and write a nice sermon for the people,to build them up and encourge them. He woke up at 8am, His wife and his son and daugher are woken up early,as it was Fathers day. In there house sat was fathers day,and sunday was always Mothers day,this they practiced before there son and daughter to show them how love ACTS between to parents. Dan, who was the pastors name gathered little todd,and Jamie there daughter and Wendy the wife to the breakfast table, I have an annoucement to make to you,so I want you to please gather round to hear.
What I am about to tell you may astound you! In fact many may not believe this,but this did happen on a cool September morning in 1988 in Corbin Kentucky. Dan was a Pastor at a full Gospel church,they had about 300 members. But on this Sunday it was not Dan to give a sermon!! NO! this day Dan's wife Wendy would deliever this one! Dan said the Lord spoke to me last night,he told me I was going home to be with him,with tears he spoke this,The Lord said Dan you have been faithful to me in a few things, now is your time to enter into your rest. Dan said the Lord would take him at 1PM this afternoon!! even the time!! Wendy started to cry,the kids started to cry,DAN!! How can you say such things!!
I am your wife,and you have 2 children here,God cannot do this to us now!! Matt 25:23 HIS!!! MASTER said to him,Well done, good and faithful servent. Dan was so sure this was true,he prepared the bank,the Church,said goodby to all of his friends! Wendy said NO Dan you are just kidding!! This will not happen to you! Dan prepared everything he could, to make sure his family would be well taken care of,his friends promised him they would as well.time NOON,Dan had a bit to eat with his Wife,hugged and kissed her after the lunch was done,the kids hugged and kissed there daddy, and went off to play in the yard.No one believed this would happen! time 12:45p.m. Dan was reasting on his lazy boy chair,the wife was busy cleaning up the kitchen,putting things away.
Dan was raising his hands in prayer in thanskgiving unto the Lord,not uncommon in his house this time of the day,he always had some afternoon prayer.time 1pm,Dan??
Wendy said, would you mind please getting up an giving me a hand with something in her? Dan? Wendy ran into the living room,but Dan was gone. At Church that Sunday over 150 people recieved Jesus that day,as to her testimony,as the Church called all of the elders from around the entire State, to here what had happened!
We never know when we are to go?? Sometimes God will tell us! We can hear Jesus when we listen to Jesus! And we are listening all the time! Because one never knows when one is going to move on from here.Does one?? Well in this case,a Pastor did!
I believe he knew because he was always paying attention to God,in not only his words,but in every single thing he did! So knowing this my brothers and sisters,let us always stay busy in Christ!
Let us live each minute, each second as if it were our last,for one day,it will be our time to rest! Hebrews 10:36 says FOR YOU have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God,you may recieve what was promised! HOME!! OUR HOME with a LOVING Father!! Praise be to Jesus!! To our Chruch here, in Michigan, this is my sermon today.All because a man was wrong in what he believed,but for some, yesterday was there last day! My the peace of our Loving Jesus give you a poke in your ribs today! Hey!! are YOU READY?? amen!! we are ready!! HALLELUJAH!!!
