Jesus, I have a little question from me to You. It is in a light hearted way, so I pray that You don't take offense. Okay, here is the passage.....

Matthew 21
The Fig Tree Withers

18Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.

20When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?" they asked.

21Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Well that is a powerful message about how powerful our prayers could be. I believe it too. I have had others pray for me and I can just feel the angels smiling at me now. Prayer is so important. I haven't yet been able to move the mountain, but actually that doesn't quite fit into my life plans yet.

Anyway like I said, I believe that You were able to do anything with Your faith. My question is, how come You had to hurt the figgy wiggy tree? It was gonna blossom and become fruit. I feel sorry for the tree. (I got a problem with taking my emotions too far!!!) Anyway, if there is a shoot or a branch from this tree still, could You plant it in God's garden of love and maybe will have some figs in time for fall, or perhaps the fall after that.
What do You think? I got faith that You can do it.

I love You Jesus. You are certainly my kind of Brother. Thanks for listening to Your little sister prattle on and on. You have my complete devotion Jesus.
Maybe will all get grafted on to the fig tree, instead of the olive tree.

Loving You Christ and Amen:Pixie:sun:  :rainbow:

Oh, my lands, pixie! I am serious, I thought I was the only one!

When I was a little girl, my mother used to tell this bible story using a flannelgraph board. (I'm showing my age here.)

The story always made me so sad. That poor little fig tree, I thought.

So when I saw what you said about the poor little figgy wiggy tree, I thought I was gonna hyper-ventilate.

Seriously, it is sad when the fig tree withers....and sad when we don't bear fruit when we claim to be Christ-followers.

Well, pixie, I think you are fruitful (Gal. 5:22), even if we are both a couple of slight fruitcakes for having so much compassion on the poor little figgy-wiggy tree.
