From time to time I suffer my own trials, all created by me, that make me feel oh so human. I often go back to that time that I first believed and my fears are relieved. Something that also helps, is to remember that Jesus said he is the truth and the truth will set you free; I think it is freedom from the bondage of doubt and the things of man which are untrue. Here are some truth verses that help me understand the freedom that Jesus promised:
- My sins were forgiven – 1 John 2:12
- I was alive in Christ – Colossians 2:13
- Jesus Christ was alive in me – Colossians 1:27
- I was a new creation – 2 Corinthians 5:17
- God justified me in His sight and declared me righteous in Christ – Romans 5:1
- God made me holy and perfect through the blood of Jesus – Hebrews 10:10, 14
- God reconciled me to Himself – Romans 5:10, 11
- God made me His heir through the New Covenant – Hebrews 8:10-12
- God loves me – Romans 8:35-39.
