Dear Mr. Romney,
If you are reading this letter, then it has indeed been by the hand of God, for I am only a housewife living in very modest means in an small town that has little political influence.
As important as the source of energy for this community is, there is something that has a deeper significance for the continuing of this nation. That is the foundations of the nation, and how the walls are being brought down as a warning to us.
George Washington dedicated this country to God in the small church that still stands at Ground Zero in New York. No matter the religious beliefs of the man himself, this nation entered into a contract, a covenant with God at it’s inception. This is much like a marriage covenant between a man and wife.
To explain what is happening in this nation, it is helpful to know a bit of scripture. Toward that end, please read this passage out of Isaiah.
Isa 9:10 The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
Isa 9:11 Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;
Isa 9:12 The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
This country has breached the covenant that was made to God. The walls of the towers were brought down, and the sycamore tree was cut off protecting the very church that the contract was made in. Just like ancient Israel, this nation has stated in word and deed that they would rebuild with hewed stone, and plant cedars in the place of the sycamore. This is all foolish pride wanting to rebuild the nation on defiance rather than repentance for breaking the marriage vow, the covenant with God.
We have shown God with our deed and laws in our institutions that He is no longer honored, nor His commandments honored. The true foundation has been ignored, and superimposed with defiant pride that we are somehow able to build stronger and higher exalting ourselves against all our enemies whether they be physical, or economic, foreign or domestic without the protection of God. If his hand of protection has been and is being removed from this nation, then the call is for returning to the foundation. To come back into covenant with Him.
Lev 26:23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
Lev 26:24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
Lev 26:25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
This nation is walking contrary unto God. By and large it is not being reformed back to the principles that this nation was founded upon. We have set up a quarrel of His covenant. The warnings will become the judgment just like they became the judgment of ancient Israel that did the same thing. No matter how hard leaders try to save the economy and get things moving again for prosperity, it all will fail if God is mocked. If His laws that were agreed upon are broken, how are we then to stand?
His warnings are mercy. A plea, a cry for this nation to return to their foundation. To renew the marriage vows. Restore honor to His Name. We must restore prayer in the schools. Uphold the basic principles of His commandments. Set the example of how a nation who has been so blessed should honor the One who those blessings have come.
Most would see a wrathful God, but the truth is the opposite. He is a God of mercy, and long suffering. Patient, and full of grace. But like a husband who has been rejected by the wayward wife, we have also breached our covenant with Him. The consequences are then, He gives the nation what they desire. He allows the foundation to be superimposed with another. An idol that will bring the nation into slavery. That idol is being built at this time right by the true foundation symbolized as the church at Ground Zero. The idol will become the enemy of this nation, and God will allow the sword to come. In our own defiant pride, we will meet the reality of God’s protective hand withdrawing.
A President is only one voice. In many cases he is only a spokesman for those behind the scenes. Even if you do not see the seat of the Presidency, you do have a large voice in this nation. There must be a return to the covenant, to the True foundation if there is any hope for this nation. It would seem that it was from the providential hand of God that you have been placed in the position you are in. There must be no compromise with the commandments of God no matter if that means a loss of a position of power. There must be a stand on principle at this time in our history as a nation. We are supposed to be under God, but have moved out from under Him into tolerance and political correctness that has bound the voice of those who would speak in truth. Now there is fear of the establishment that to speak truth courageously would create such a backlash that reputation would be marred. This is part of the mammon that Jesus talked about.
We cannot serve God and mammon. Power, prestige, and pride are all included in mammon that He spoke of. To seek first the Kingdom of God means to hold to His commandments as a nation. If those principles are sought after, then He will heal our land. All the things like economy, and industry, manufacturing, and all the blessings will come as a result of upholding His ways.
In closing, there is one word of caution. We can say with a flippant mouth “God Bless America”, but that would be like the unfaithful wife asking her husband to bless her breaking the marriage vows.
Mr. Romney, this nation must be told that in order for God to bless us, we must return to His covenant. We must return to His Laws. Then His protective hand will return. If not, then this nation will come under more severe warnings. We must repent of our foolish defiant pride. An active repentance that will shore up the breach and quarrel of His covenant.
May God give you wisdom, understanding, courage, strength, and His enabling to fulfill the part that He has ordained for you.
