I don't know if this topic has been covered before, so forgive me if it has been...

Just a thought..."What do you know about God by looking at nature, His creation?"

Jesus knew that, "He causes the rain to fall on the just and unjust..." Mt 5:45, and concluded that His children should also love their enemies.

I like the fact that there is extreme diversity in sameness...that all the leaves on a tree are the same, yet different, and alll the leaves on that type of tree are the same, yet each unique, season after season. He really likes diversity, and sameness, and paradoxes. He is really amazing to have created a system that constantly recreates itself in new ways.

Well, what do think? What does nature tell you about God?

I know I will get criticized about this, but what it tells me, God has allowed some combination of creation and evolution. Now, evolving from Apes for us ...no!! We are God's creation, starting with Abraham, and his time table is vastly different than ours. The rest of nature is an amazing combination of creation and evolution.

If, instead of evolution, you said change...."an amazing combination of creation and change" you would not be criticized, I think.

Change that is planned into creation is pretty amazing!

So, what does that tell you about God?

That is a valid point. I still believe in creation. But, like so many of God's mysteries, there is no way that man can fully explain them.
I don't let it control me or put me into some fixed position. It is all God's creation and I am open to the possibility of some form of evolution in it.
When you think about 300 billion stars in our Milky Way, 100 billion galaxies in the universe , meaning about 3,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars and the universe is expanding at about a 1000 mph, there is no impossibilities for our God.
