Rev 13:15 describes the image of the beast as a talking statue:
Rev 13:15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
A talking statue is otherwise known as a robot to us today.
The renowned physicist Stephen Hawking has warned that humans could create an artificial intelligence so powerful that it would overtake humans and "outsmart us all".
Google already have powerful technologies whereby you can ask it questions and receive answers in response. You may ask it questions such as "what name should I give my baby?". Others such as Apple have similar technologies. Also scientists are working on massive networked computers designed to replicate the human brain with its billions of neurons.
Already tech-savvy children equipped with smart phones or tablets are seeking advice from "daddy or mommy Google" before seeking advice from their own parents. These technologies are also taking away the roles normally attributed to a mom, dad or grandparent.
The Bible warns against seeking human counsel and encourages us to seek God for guidance (Psalm 1:1, Psalm 119:18, Prov 3:5-6, Psalm 32:8, John 14:26).
Technology itself is not really the problem, it is the sum total of fallen human knowledge to date, which is retrievable by that technology, which is the problem.
Eventually we will reach the stage whereby we no longer have to think and make decisions for ourselves, and worse, never consult God about any decisions.
An advanced artificial intelligence is a perfect tool for anti-Christ to employ to deceive and control the world.
