Why does the inverted cross oppose the normal upright cross that Jesus Christ was crucified upon?

1. I don't know. Supposedly Peter was crucified on an upside down cross. This was allegedly his choice, not to be crucified in the same way Jesus was.
2. The cross is the symbol of the place Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, the sinless Lamb that was slain, and paid the price for our sins. His blood was shed there to pay our debt for sin.
I don't worship the cross, but the cross is on most Christian churches as a symbol.
