Revelation 20:7-8King James Version (KJV)
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
- All the problems with the Earth are not solved at Christ's return, but 1000 years after Christ's coming back.
- When Christ comes back, even though mankind will be restored and will enjoy peace and prosperity for 1000 years, their rebellious nature will still remain until God's final dealing with mankind and Satan at the end of the 1000 years.
- After the 1000 year reign of Christ following His coming back, Satan will be released from captivity and will deceive the nations (Rev 20:8).
- The rebellious nations involved will be Gog and Magog which corresponds with Russia, Moscow and Tobolsk (Rosh, Meshech, Tubal). (Ezek 38:2-3, 39:1-2).
- Although God tempts no man Himself nor desires them to be overcome by evil, God uses Satan to expose man's rebellious nature (sinners) so that He may judge them in righteousness and also to test the faith and endurance of His people (e.g. Job).
- The purpose of God releasing Satan from prison is to expose man's rebellious nature. If man was not able to be deceived or be rebellious, God would have no reason to release Satan from prison. The rebellion will be purged away by God's final judgement on mankind and Satan (Rev 20:9-10).
