Those who "profess" christianity only are not believers in the first place and are no different that the rest of unbelieving humanity ..... they do not belong to Jesus Christ and He will toss them into His hour of trial [the tribulation period] just like the rest of the world [Matthew 25:1-13; Revelation 3:16].

These refuse to believe the truth about Jesus Christ, even if they come in His name, just as all of intransigent humanity and they are no different .... the world is full of these people today and the Lord will judge them.

In the process He will allow for satanic infestation by removing restraint against satan and the fallen angelics and they will be sent and sequestered upon the earth during the tribulation period .... because the world refuses to believe the truth about Him, He will give them the devil [the world is moving quickly toward this setting and there are movements, both pseudo-christian and non-christian, who are seeding the winds of deception for the cause].

This satanic infestation will produce many supernatural and strange conditions upon the earth and the hallmark of satan's beast will be his capacity to make war and to defeat all human effort against him ..... he will conquer without failure and none will stop him.

His core followers will admire his astounding success against nations, their governments, and certainly the nation of Israel of which he will invade and occupy .... his followers will believe his claims to be a "god" as he moves to conquer the world.

He will be followed and admired by many as he destroys their enemies by unheard of and unknown means, killing hundreds of thousands in one devastating blow .... nothing will stand in his way and his angelic and human armies will ravage the earth and those who refuse to submit will be hunted down and beheaded.

This action will be the "lie" and delusion that the Lord will send to the followers of satan's beast who will think that he is a "god" ..... then the Lord Himself will turn on the beast and his kingdom of followers and destroy them just at the end of the tribulation period.

Keep in mind that this beast will not be an ordinary human, he is a fallen angelic possessing excessive destructive powers imputed by satan .... he will appear as nothing the world has ever seen in the human little horn of Daniel's visions .... and this angelic king of the abyss cannot be killed by ordinary means which will astonish the world .... only the Lord can destroy angelics in His lake of fire.

This is the "lie" and delusion that satan will be allowed to present to a world of humans who will follow and perish in the process .... this will all be part of the Lord's judgment against humanity for their unbelief and rejection of Him .... and He will also at the same time destroy satan's ploy by eliminating his angelic and human agents and then capture and send him to the abyss.

The Lord never looses a battle and His ways are unfettered, even by satan and his manipulations .... He will draw satan in to the fray .... and then crush him .... while the devil is watching one hand, the Lord will smash him with the other.

[the world is moving quickly toward this setting and there are movements, both pseudo-christian and non-christian, who are seeding the winds of deception for the cause].

Can you give an example of how the world is moving toward this setting and what movements you see in the world today that are deceiving people? Are there movements that are deceiving even the Christian today?

HB,

Much of the world's 6 billion inhabitants today are estranged from the Lord .... the symbolism of Mystery Babylon the Great given in the book of Revelation is one of lost humanity .... past, present, and future

Overall human behavior and mind set is intrinsically against the Lord as of current and the world does not know the truth regarding Jesus Christ, who He is, and what He is going to do

One needs to also notice the attention being drawn to the Middle East, Israel, and the nation's Middle Eastern enemies today [the prophetic scriptures are all centered on this geographical location of the world] .... the Lord is doing this because He intends to deal with these issues and to ultimately rule the earth from Jerusalem Himself

Humans take many venues to separate themselves from the Lord and engage in the things of the world which include the false religions of many different beliefs .... a prime example of this off course behavior is Islam which stands against the Lord and says that God has no Son

There are also many "professing" christian organizations that have developed as the result of the false teachings of the leadership of the organization .... Jesus said that many would come in His name and would deceive many people .... leading followers astray and into false doctrines that have the potential to destroy one's own salvation

There are actually 10's of thousands of denominational persuasions of professing Christianity including some major movements that fall into this category and one needs to be wary of falling prey to their business of deception

The guard against one being misled is to study the Lord's Word and to gain a solid understanding of scriptural truths for being able to discern and identify the false teaching of the christian "cult like" movements, large and small

The listing is a long one and it is growing today as we mover closer to the Lord's coming judgment of an intransigent and unbelieving world .... I could post a number of them, but it would be more meaningful to address specifics and to explain why a particular sector of professing Christianity is off course

If you have one, or a few, that you are questioning, I would be happy to give you my opinion and related discussion as to why I believe it is one to beware of so that you can properly evaluate the moorings of the organization in light of the scriptures

I would suggest that you study the following scriptures:

[Psalms 2; Matthew 24:4-5; 2Thessalonians 2:1-17; 2Peter 2, 3; 2Timothy 3, 4; Revelation 3, 4]

Awesome Stephen1.

It is incredable how far we(all of mankind) have been lead astray today. With so many opinions on what Jesus taught us, and give for us to learn of His truth. We are told that the Gospel is some mysterious document that requires translating and decyphering and find secret messages within the text of what He told us.

The simple truth is He taught mostly in Aramaic which was a common tongue or peasant's language. If His intent was to hide things for only wise men and intrenched biblical scholors Jesus definately wouldn't have used a simple and basic language. He also taught in parables, small stories which impart words but also cause the mind to create an image of the story for clarity in the teaching, when you accept Jesus through faith and recieve the Spirit this becomes very clear. Jesus also lived a basic and fundimental lifestyle most of which was in the service of others. The deeds that keep us(well suppose to) keep us humble and thankful. Allowing us to pray unincumbered with arrogence, selfishness and anomosity. This gives us a fresh start each day.

one of the reasons my favourite signoff is, "rest well in the arms of our Lord" from here you will remain with our comforter, teacher and guide the Holy Spirit (John 14:26)

PM,

Thanks for the reply

True ..... there are no hidden meanings in the Lord's Word as some teach for the purpose of proprietary and self serving motivations

He will always give understanding to those who earnestly seek Him and His revelations without measure .... in time

My pastor preached on this yesterday. One of the ones he talked about was "easy-believeism", where people think that "mere-belief" without the repentence and the change of heart means your saved. They go down for an altar call on Sunday, and by Monday their back to living their same old life with their same old sins, with themselves at the center of it all and Jesus is back to being an after thought.

The Bible reading for the sermon was Matthew 7:15-23. It was a really good sermon.

Thank you OnceWasLost, that is one of the many lies that is used to mislead many today. there are no Laws... nothing to live my life by, its all good.

I pray for those people because when they stand before Jesus they will be in for a rude awakening. It is that, that bothers me the most. They are so arrogent to think they have the run of the Earth and have Heaven as well.

God bless you >>> keep the Will of our Lord well and He will always keep you

Hi HoneyBare,

One movement that is deceiving people is Oprah's new age religious movement.
Her and others, like Marianne Williamson are teaching a course on the new age
Christ. It's called "a course in miracles".

According to Time magazine Oprah was voted 16 times as top 100 most influencial
people. She could possibly deceive thousands, both christian and non-christian.
I have heard that Oprah was a christian in her early years.

Hi HoneyBare... and sorry. When I talked to you the otherday I thought I had responded to your post. Opps. lol

vurtually all the evangelists, scientology, like mouse said, there is a paganism/Christian hybrid and the direction of most of the denominational, with all the different bible versions watering down the Gospel therefore confusing the lifestyle Jesus taught us to live. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

'THE LIE',
[Greek: (pseudos) - meaning: ‘false, counterfeit, spurious, a lie’.]

It occurs 9 times in the New Testament, as follows:

John 8:44
'Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a (the) lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.'

Rom 1:25
'Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.'

Eph 4:25
'Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.'

2 Thess 2:9
'Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,'

2 Thess 2:11
'And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:'

2 Thess 2:9
'I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.'

1 John 2:27
'But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.'

Revelation 21:27
'And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.'

Revelation 22:15
'For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.'

It is worthwhile looking at these verses in context and considering,

- What does the verse actually say, (word for word)?
- Who is speaking?
- What comes before the verse?
- What comes after the verse?
- To Whom was the verse written?
- About Whom is the verse written?
- Does the verse apply to us today?
- Does the verse apply to me?
- With what intent is it spoken?
- At What time in Bible History is it written?
- To What time in Bible History does it apply?

etc.,

With love in Christ Jesus, our risen and glorified,
Saviour, Lord and Head

What written WORd was Jesus taking about when he said " It is written ". How about the truth of Torah, King David said "Thy Word is TRUTH or LORD" what Word? Faith without works is dead. "ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God,and is profitable, for DOCTRINE; for REPROOF,for INSTRUTION in RIGHTEOUNESS. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughty furnished unto ALL GOOD WORKS. Latter Rain

Has anyone ever read Rashi Hebrew commentary ? There is a HUGE difference from Greek & Hebrew Thought. " In the beginning was The Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD was God. Let me see, He said " I am THE WAY, The TRUTH, and The Life. No man can come to the Father except threw Me. Just like it is in our time, the church & Its leaders have become sheep in wolfs clothes. The Sanhedren of the Jews were in bed with the Roman Gov. Money HUNGERY Devils that did not know the Father nor the Son. Romans chapter 11 read the whole thing a couple of times do your cross references thinf about what the WORD is saying , ver. 25-36 are a I pray you can understand this mystery. God Bless

What do you think of the "Faith movement" or the "Prosperity" teachings?

It all sounds good, but unfortunately so much of it goes against what Jesus taught. They have taken things out of context, and put a new spin on God like He is a vending machine. Do you know what I am talking about?

Hi,

A knowledge of Greek and Hebrew is good, but it is the way that the Holy Spirit has applied the language that really counts isn't it. It is by comparing Scripture with Scripture that we can know how the Holy Spirit would have us understand a passage of Scripture, by seeing how the words are used in various contexts and using that knowledge to determine the meaning of the passage being studied.

Language use over the years evolves and certain words lose their meaning or have other meanings attached to them by misuse, like the word 'gay' for example. so comparing scripture with scripture is essential.

Hi,

There are so many different schools of thought under the banner of 'Christianity', and so it is important to keep our minds stayed on Christ Jesus our risen and glorified Lord, who sits at God's right hand, isn't it?

It is not even worth evaluating and considering these various organisations, with their differences, or take heed to their various doctrines (or lack of them). For it is the Lord alone who can enlighten their eyes to the truth of His Word, and deliver them from deception, if that is their condition.

As far as the responsibility of each individual believer is concerned, it is for each one to search the scriptures for themselves, and bring every doctrine taught in either pulpit or platform under the light of revealed truth in order to judge whether it is of the Lord or not.

Who are we to judge our brother? We all stand before the Lord in the light, and are answerable to Him alone.

Hi,

'The Lie' is nothing new, it has been in the world since the beginning. Satan is the Father of lies, and although at the end 'the lie' will be at it's fullest measure, we should be aware of the infiltration of 'the lie', and be vigilant to make sure that we are not either receiving, participating in, or teaching 'a lie'.

The first lie of Satan is still being taught as fact, and that is 'thou shalt not surely die'.

Think about it, for is that not what we do, at a funeral service for example we say of the one who has died, 'Oh, he has gone to a better place.' 'he is looking over me' etc, and in so doing we deny the fact that man dies and goes back to the dust 'from whence he came'.

For there is no life apart from resurrection.

Veracity yes I do know what you mean. ~complete~ is absolutely correct by saying this, "There are so many different schools of thought under the banner of 'Christianity'" there is only one Christianity but many claiming to be the true Christianity and have chosen to squeeze Jesus out of the belief. That speaks for itself.

When you accept Christ as your Saviour and sincere He awakes the Spirit in you. Once awakened The Spirit washes your heart clean and if your life hasn't changed completely then you are not of the Spirit, meaning you are a Christian in word only because you truly don't believe. In faith and belief there is no middle ground. There is no rightous judgemental position except for Jesus, people don't know enough to use it. We only use judgement in a spiteful self-rightous way. Again something that becomes clear and acceptable when you are of the Spirit.

Play well in the Will of the Lord
