I believe many people assume that it must be the Antichrist but it is not.... keep in mind angels are referred to as men multiple places in scripture Gen 32:24 for one.
In 1 Thess 2:8 the man of sin is revealed when he Takes the Throne. So this cant be the antichrist because he is revealed when elected by the 10 kings and the 7 year peace treaty of Daniel 9:27 which is broken at 3.5 years - the end of the AC reign....
We can see that the AC reign Only last 3.5 yrs by Daniel 12:7 "Time Times and half Time which is 1 +2+.5=3.5 years....
We see this further at Rev 17:10-11 known as the 7 Kings

So there are 7 Kings so what does verse 17:11 mean by a eighth?
Whos the beast the antichrist or satan? The AC is the 7th kingdom of which Satan Is a part of (Rev 13:2-4 shows us satan being a part of that 7th kingdom but remember the AC only continues for 3.5 years) making satan the 8th kingdom for the final 3.5 years of the broken treaty..... satan sits as God in the temple....
This is when the jews are told to flee to the wilderness when the armys surround jerusalem and they see the abomination of desolation - satan sitting as god in the sanctuary.
See Matt 24:15-16 mark 13:14-16 luke 21:20-21
And we see proof of this at Rev 12:12-16 they flee to the wilderness
We see Israel fleeing because the treaty has been broken and the devil now comes down KNOWING HIS TIME IS SHORT - 3.5 years and the israelites FLEE for how long? Well TIMES TIMES AND HALF TIME same time devil has left and 7 year treaty is over.... 3.5 years
We can see this at Dan 11:44 were the AC cant attack edom moab ammon (Rev 12:16) and is protected... we know this is the end times as it leads into Daniel 12:1-2... book of life - gathering together - rapture - when all eyes see him even those who pierced him (the dead)
And he will come with his angels in Glory 1thess 1:10 as Paul say: wait with us till Christ is revealed From Heaven...
Anyway didnt want to make it too long and anyone should be able to follow it.
