Ahh,yes, almost everyone fears death. We don't know what's after, what awaits us and what will our loved ones do when we are up there.

So often we hear about people who aren't afraid to die. What's their secret? How can you conquer this fear using faith?

No, really, how? I'm sure there are many other people who are curious.

Thats a valid question Panda...

It all comes down to what you believe really...

Fear breeds itself on what is not known...(it can only live in the dark)

Does light not dispel darkness?

Christ is the light...everyone who comes to Him is given the promise of life...of living forever...

So is essence death is not dying, its a curtain call, but theres going to be one incredible ENCORE!

reg

if you are a true believing christian you should know that at death you will join are lord in heaven for all eterity.so why be afraid of death.

Hi Panda! Interestingly enough we can have more than one "reaction" at a time. I have kissed death on the lips so many times I get Christmas cards from him- LOL!
Honestly you can be at complete peace and rest in your spirit and at the same time your body may revolt against the thought. This is quite a natural reaction. We can indeed look forward to the day we get to go to Christ and as usual the Word of God puts it best:

Php 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Php 1:22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
Php 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

The great Apostle was so close to the heart of His Lord that going home to be with Him was first and foremost on his heart and yet he understood that God was not finished using him here.
The same applies to us; the closer we get to our Lord the less fear has any hold on us.

You dont have to be affraid of the death. Your days is in God's hands. If you want me to I will pray that God will help you to have peace instead of fear the death. May God's peace be in your hart and remember your days is in God's hands.

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Luke 12:4-5

My validation for life after sadly isn't because of my faith in God(though it's nevertheless a large part), but what is probably demonic in nature. I've experienced OBEs AKA out-of-body-experiences and deja vu when I previously had dreams where to the umpteenth degree I knew exactly what people were going to say to me before they uttered a syllable. The Bible speaks against anything new age like that but because of what I've experienced I have no doubt that consciousness extends beyond physical death at least.
