the movie SON OF GOD

I haven't seen it myself, but I want to. I have heard good comments from Christian friends that have seen it.

I did see it. I enjoyed it. Before I saw it, I did read quite a bit of criticism of the movie on facebook. I do see where they added a few things that are not in the Word for the sake of scenery or interest, but I do not see that the Gospel has been watered down as some religious nuts have said. Sorry. But that's how I see it. It brings glory to Jesus; the movie clearly shows love in all of Jesus' actions, healing, even when He just touches someone and speaks to them, the love is so evident as His motivating factor!!!! This alone brings so much to the movie. I'm crazy about Roma Downey anyway, so I wanted to see it very much, and I was not disappointed. I cried several times when they were about to crucify him, and while they were crucifying Him, and afterwards. Very real, and moving. I give it a thumbs up and 5 stars out of 5. It is a good movie to take a non-believer to. I think it would hold most peoples' attention.

I saw it a few weeks back. It was a good movie, scenery was great, acting was good. There was a lot of scripture quoted, most of it even accurately.
There were things added that weren't in the Bible, and certain things were out of chronological order. Those things don't matter much to me.
I got the feeling the movie was told like a fictional story. It showed some of Jesus' miracles, and it had some powerful moments. However the thing that was missing was, why follow Jesus? Why did he come? Yes, it showed the crucifixion, but what did that have to do with anything? Why did he have to die and how does that help me? Because those things were missing I would give it a 3 out of 5.

I saw it the day it came out, great movie. Great actors and cinematography. I think it was scripturally accurate, aside some minor liberty that did not hinder the message of the Gospel at all. Keep in mind it's not that simple to squeeze the entire Gospel into a 2 hour movie.

They did an awesome job nonetheless.
