Does light have a specific color? If God is “light”, and he is, then what color is God? God is NOT sunlight, but he is very similar to sunlight.
Psa 84:11 OUR LORD AND OUR GOD, YOU ARE LIKE THE SUN and also like a shield. You treat us with kindness and with honor, never denying any good thing to those who live right. (CEV)
There was a time, and I am sure that even today people used to worship the “sun”. The Book of Romans chapter one tells us many people use to worship “created things” (the sun that is like God) more than the creator who created it.
God is “light” (1 John 1:5)
We are told to put on the amour of “light” (Romans 13:12)
We have the fruit of the “light” (Eph 5:9)(ESV)
The Holy Spirit is “light” (Eph 5:9)(Amp)
We are “light” beings!!! We were once darkness, but now we are “light” in the Lord! (Eph 5:8)
The river of life is a river of “light” (Rev 22:1) The word “clear” means light. The Greek word for “clear” is “lampros” which is where we get our English word for “light bulb”
God covers himself with “light” as with a cloak.(Ps 104:2)
God clothes his children with robes of white (the word “white” means “light”)
Jesus is the brightness of God's Glory which is “light” (Heb 1:3)
We live in a Kingdom of “light” (Col 1:12)(CEV)
God sits on a throne of “light” (Rev 20:11)
God rides a horse of “light” (Rev 19:11)
Jesus sits upon a cloud of “light” (Rev 14:14)
We have been given the ability to have fellowship with the Saints in “Light” (Col 1:12)(1 John 1:7)
“Light” is representative of “life” (John 1:4)
God has color, but we can not pin him down to just one color. God is many colors, and if you mix all the colors known to man and other colors that we can not see, or know of we come up with pure white light! If God is multi colors then that would mean his Wisdom would also be multi-colored. All Wisdom is an understanding of God himself. All light is forgiving “life”, and “vision” which gives
“understanding.”
The “knowledge of God” is exactly just that. It is the “knowledge” that belongs to God and he gives it to people who have no Wisdom (understanding) who desire, and ask for it! (James 1:5) (Pro 14:33)
The scriptures tell us that Wisdom is the most important, and the most valuable thing God can give to anyone!! There is nothing in this world, or the world to come that can be compared to Wisdom. (Pro 3:13-15) No man or woman can, or will ever receive anything more valuable from God
than Wisdom. No wonder this is true because Jesus Christ is the WISDOM and the power of God!!!
1Co 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1Co 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, CHRIST THE POWER OF GOD, AND THE WISDOM OF GOD.
Before Jesus came to earth the Lord God spoke through his prophets to his people, but when Jesus came he spoke through his Son Jesus Christ. (Heb 1:1-2)
Now that Jesus has been resurrected to the right hand of God, the Lord God is now speaking through his body the Church!
Eph 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Eph 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Eph 3:10 To THE INTENT THAT NOW UNTO THE PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS IN HEAVENLY PLACES MIGHT BE KNOWN BY THE CHURCH THE MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD,
The word, “MANIFOLD” in verse 10 means, “diverse, various, MULTI- COLORED. Manifold, multifarious, greatly diversified, abounding in variety”
The only thing that “varies” about the Lord God (but changes not) is his Wisdom which is diverse in color!!
Other translations call God's Wisdom as being “many-sided” A precious stone like a “diamond” has many sides “facets” that cause any light that shines through it to be separated into its many colors that make up that one light!!
Jesus is known as the cornerstone who is precious, and he is wonderful in our eyes!! (Mark 12:10-11)!!
1Pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I LAY IN ZION A CHIEF CORNERSTONE, ELECT, PRECIOUS: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Not only is Jesus the precious cornerstone that emits multi colors of himself, we also are living stones that make up his body!!!!
1Pe 2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1Pe 2:4 To whom COMING, AS UNTO A LIVING STONE, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
1Pe 2:5 YE ALSO, AS LIVELY STONES, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Not only is Jesus a living stone, we also who make up his body are living stones that shine forth God's Glory in many multicolored lights as God shines through his Church!!!!
Who are the ones who are going to reveal this Glory of God's Wisdom to ALL the principalities, and powers in the heavenly places?
Eph 3:9 and TO BRING TO LIGHT FOR EVERYONE WHAT IS THE PLAN OF THE MYSTERY HIDDEN FOR AGES in God, who created all things,
Eph 3:10 so that THROUGH THE CHURCH THE MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD MIGHT NOW BE MADE KNOWN TO THE RULERS AND AUTHORITIES IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES.
Eph 3:11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
If we want to know one of the greatest mysteries of all time, that God had kept hidden within himself it is this. God's purpose and intent from eternity past was that from now on he is going to use his Church to shine forth his multi-colored Wisdom unto ALL the rulers, and authorities in the Heavenly places forever!!!!
