So, just about everyone knows the original twelve apostles.
Mark 3:16 And He appointed the twelve: Simon (to whom He gave the name Peter),
Mark 3:17 and James, the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (to them He gave the name Boanerges, which means, "Sons of Thunder");
Mark 3:18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Zealot;
Mark 3:19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him.
Luke 6:13 And when day came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also named as apostles:
Luke 6:14 Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; and James and John; and Philip and Bartholomew;
Luke 6:15 and Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot;
Luke 6:16 Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
.. and just about everyone knows Paul as well.
Rom 1:1; Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,
1Cor 1:1; Paul, called as an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
2Cor 1:1; Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God which is at Corinth with all the saints who are throughout Achaia:
Gal 1:1; Paul, an apostle (not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead),
Eph 1:1; Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus:
Col 1:1; Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
1Tim 1:1; Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Savior, and of Christ Jesus, who is our hope,
2Tim 1:1; Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, according to the promise of life in Christ Jesus,
Tit 1:1; Paul, a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
It seems a few people know about Matthias as well.
Act 1:23 So they put forward two men, Joseph called Barsabbas (who was also called Justus), and Matthias.
Act 1:24 And they prayed and said, "You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen
Act 1:25 to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place."
Act 1:26 And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles.
Somewhat lesser know is Barnabas.
Acts 14:14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their robes and rushed out into the crowd, crying out
Acts 15:2 And when Paul and Barnabas had great dissension and debate with them, the brethren determined that Paul and Barnabas and some others of them should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders concerning this issue.
Acts 15:22; Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas—Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren,
It seems very few people know about Judas/Barsabbas and Silas.
Acts 15:22 Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas—Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren,
Finally you get extra credit if you know about Andronicus and Junias.
Rom 16:7 Greet Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners, who are outstanding among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
Paul calls them his kinsmen, apparently they were related to him in some way. He says they were in Christ before him, so they were Christians before Paul was.
So, it seems there are at least 19 people in the Bible called an Apostle.
Stephen is not called an apostle anywhere in the Bible, but it seems he was able to do miracles, whether he was an apostle or not.
Acts 6:8; And Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people.
