I' m just curious about this number. I'm from China, I heard that the official statistical number is 16m, about 1.2% as a percentage of China's population. However, many Chinese Christians tend to believe that the number is approximately 80m or even larger with the additional 60m consist of Christians from house churches distributed in the wide rural regions.

So what's this figure in your country(including Catholics,Eastern Orthodox.etc)?

I heard that 95% of Americans believe God, is that correct?

Thanks!

Any one have the new Operation World book?

Hi there,

Have you heard of the book: Operation World by Patrick Johnstone and Jason Mandryk? It is a great resource that answers questions like you are asking. I have an older version 2001. So the data is not current. Maybe someone in TJ had the more recent one?

My husband and I have used this book often. It gives all kinds of information. When we write to you do we need to be careful in what words we use?

Blessings.

Hello Truedawn,
Thank you for your advice, I'v never heard of this book though.
Well, I don't mind at all, You're free to write what you know and think.
What's more, you know, due to the internet censorship and the restricted freedom of speech in China, I'm anxious to know some opinions and ideas you foreigners have about anything to do with China.
We're just exchanging our views here, right? So feel free to write, please

Be blessed!

The 95% is about right, however, this figure includes Jews, Muslims, Cultists of all varieties and those who vaguely believe that "there is some God out there somewhere, but He isn't really all that important, so why worry about Him?" That being the case, the actual number is somewhere between 35% and 60%, including Catholics, Orthodox and Protestant. The vagueness of the figure is partly because no one ever really counts it, except in ways that give differing answers.
