Jesus speaks in the book of Mathew, chapter 24,
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
About these days, being the same as the Days of Noah,
And called them the time of sorrows,
Jesus also portrayed a pregnant women, who’s labour pains would keep increasing,

Looking at world events, recently, she must be in a lot of pain.
Has her waters just broken?
God bless Johnny.

At Matthew 24, Jesus parallels his invisible "presence"(Matt 24:3) to the "days of Noah"(Matt 24:37) The King James Bible renders Matthew 24:3 as: "And as he (Jesus) sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" This rendering makes it seem that the disciples asks about Jesus "coming", when in fact, they were asking about his "presence" and as the "sign" that would allow individuals to determine when it would begin.

The Greek word that the disciples asked, was not the one for "coming", er·kho´me·non, but was the one for "presence", pa·rou·si´as. The online interlinear Scripture4all literally reads of Matthew 24:3: "Of sitting yet of-him on the mountain of-the Olives toward-came to-him the Learners according-to own saying Be-saying to-us ?-when these shall-be and any the Sign of-the Beside-Being (presence, Greek pa·rou·si´as) and of-together-finish of eon."

A modern English translation reads of Matthew 24:3: "While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”(New World Translation)

Thus, the disciples were keenly interested in Jesus "promised presence", for the apostle Peter wrote in about 64 C.E.: "For you know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires and saying: “Where is this promised presence (Greek pa·rou·si´as, not "coming" as in the King James Bible) of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”(2 Pet 3:3, 4)

At Matthew 24:7,8, Jesus gave some beginning features that would identify the "sign of (his) presence". He told his disciples: "For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress." When a pregnant woman begins to feel birth pangs, this does not necessarily mean that its time for the child to be born, but signals that it is getting close.

Likewise of the "beginning of pangs of distress" that Jesus said would be the starting point for his invisible "promised presence". When was the first time that the world was embroiled in global war ? On June 28, 1914, the Archduke Francis Ferdinand and his wife, Archduchess Sophie, were assassinated, with the outbreak of World War I beginning as a result in August 1914. The war caused "food shortages" around the world.

In addition, Jesus, as recorded by Luke, said that another feature of "sign of (Jesus) presence" would be "pestilences" or epidemic of diseases at Luke 21:11. Just before WWI ended on November 11, 1918, an influenza strain, called the Spanish Flu, broke out in March 1918. Many investigators trace its origin to the state of Kansas, U.S.A. From there it was apparently spread to France by newly arrived U.S. soldiers. After a sharp increase in influenza deaths, by July 1918 it seemed that the worst was over. Little did doctors know at that time that the pandemic was only gathering strength to become a more efficient killer.

When the dreaded Spanish Flu had finally subsided, only one place in the entire world was not touched by it, the island of St. Helena. This fast moving disease, according to epidemiologist, cost maybe upwards of 100 million lives in the matter of a little over 1 1/2 years. Even WWI had only cost the lives of an estimated 21 million soldiers and civilians, whereas the Spanish Flu may have quadrupled that number.

And yet, Jesus said that this was only "a beginning of pangs of distress." Serious issues on a worldwide scale would exponentially grow as the "conclusion of the system of things" (or "last days", the same as Jesus "promised presence", 2 Peter 3:3, 4) is reaching it's end.

At Luke 21:11, Jesus said that "great earthquakes" would also be a feature of the "sign of (his) presence". Here is a list of great earthquakes over the past 100 years.

look up the data, for a super volcano

the experts tell us we are over due a super volcano, the data should be avalable, there was a very good program in the uk.
called super volcanos
there are others, but they were looking at events taking place around yellow stone, lakes lifting at one end ect

they could monitor to a point, but the bottom line is, in reality, they can not really tell how much activity, and how much magna, is building up below.
God bless johnny

Jesus did not say anything about volcanoes, but he did specifically mention "great earthquakes" (Luke 21:11) as one feature of the "sign of his (invisible) presence". He further said that his faithful followers, true Christians, would be delivered "up to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name."(Matt 24:9)

And why ? Because Jesus told them that "if you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you. Bear in mind the word I said to you, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also."(John 15:19, 20)

Jesus clearly avoided the "world's" affairs, its politics (John 6:15), its greedy commercialism (Matt 21:12), and its false religion.(Matt 16:12) He also said that another feature of the "sign of his presence" would, "because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off."(Matt 24:12) Love for God would "cool off " as the end approaches. He therefore stressed this need especially during this time period: "But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved."(Matt 24:13)

Jesus then focused on an earthwide educational work that would be a major feature of the "sign of his presence", saying that "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."(Matt 24:14) His faithful disciples are fulfilling this feature in 236 lands around the earth, preaching the "good news of the kingdom....in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations" before the ' end comes.'

God sent.

i agree with you 99 percent, there is a flip side to the coin, good news, great,

the flip side, God often sent someone to warn people, to warn Israel, take moses, set my people free, jonah.
if we do not warn people, their blood is on our hands.
noah imploared people, warned people.

jonah warned Gods jugement was pending, and the people repented,

blow the trumpets in Zoin sound the Alarm.

So in a nut shell its both, do you want the good news first or the bad news.?

then there where warnings, from Jesus, be prepared, warnings by dream, vision, prophecy, depending the situation,

joseph warned in a dream, to flee to egypt with mary and Jesus.

its the whole package. Jesus spoke about , had the anti christ been around at the same time, he would have spoke more about, systems being put in place, lets not limit God, it seems sometimes christians are spending so much time reading the bible and talking about it, they forget the world outside, about the word being living moving, faith with out works, to bring a different reality to this world, Gods reality.
Revelations mentions a comet hiting the sea, and a super volcano, among other judgements war, famine, the earth being burned.
