There is a role words play in healing especially God's word that if people get a hold of they will be well on their way to receiving their healing. Because, words affect you spirit, soul, and body. In 3John 2 it says, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. What do you prosper your soul with, words. In cases of Jesus healings he was known for saying, "According to your faith so be it done unto you" also "As thou hast believed so be it unto you" and "Your faith has made you whole." How do you get faith, by hearing words. In Proverbs 4 the scripture says God's word is health(medicine, healing) to all your flesh. What brings healing to your body, words. So, the word of God will affect your whole being spirit, soul, and body.
In Mark 5 concerning the woman with the issue of blood it says, 25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Notice, what did this woman hear, words. What did this woman speak, words. How did this woman release her faith, words. Jesus said, "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed ye shall say..." The tendency is to seek healing from the outside-in, but receiving from God works inside-out. Notice, in Proverbs 4:20-23 it says, 20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health(medicine, healing) to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 12:18 says that the tongue(words) of the wise is health. God works through his word. Notice, in Isaiah 55:11 God says that his word shall not return to him void(without fruit), but it shall accomplish that which he pleases.
One of Jesus major teachings was the kingdom of God like in Mark 4 where he taught that the word of God is seed and the spirit of man is the soil. Proverbs 4:20,21 tells you how the seed is planted by the word you take in. Notice, in 1Corinthians 3:6 it says, "I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." 1Corinthians 3:9 calls you God's husbandry(field). God's field is for sowing God's word in it. Every seed produces fruit after its kind. Fruit represents the physical manifestation of the seeds sown. What you sow you reap that's why Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart(spirit) the mouth speaketh. What did the woman with the issue of blood do, because the scripture says that Jesus turned to see her that had done this thing. The amplified version says for she kept saying, "If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole." She spoke out of the abundance of her heart and brought that forth. That seed she planted and watered brought forth that fruit. The power of God responded to the seed she planted and watered. That's why in Isaiah 57:19 God says, "I create the fruit of the lips." It's his power, but it's by the fruit of your lips. God works through your words that are in line with his words.
It is not God's will that any should perish (2Peter 3:9). And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
