Our job as Christians is to bring as many people to the gospel. Silent Christians must break their silence and try and bring as many non-Christian individuals towards the path of truth.
Dear benm82;
Thank you for sharing the straight forward Truth! Matthew 3:1-3 says,
In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one calling in the desert, Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him."
Its wonderful to worship together, all of us sharing the same faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior! Iron sharpens Iron. But we have a job to do. There are still brothers and sisters in our churches who are not saved, and billions out there who still do not know our Father God.
Its not easy.
It can start with prayer alone, or with your pastor, elder, deacon, a Talk Jesus brother or sister, with 2 or 3 gathered who are spiritually mature. Ask our Father to help you take that step, to send you, use you, tell you what to do and say at that moment when an unsaved one crosses your path. Then trust Him. He will equip you to introduce Jesus Christ to them, share what Christ has done to turn your life around, and how to say that He is coming back. And they have the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ so they can have eternal life in heaven just like us.
The Holy Spirit will guide you how far to witness in that moment, plant the seed, and then stand back. Have faith that it is in God's hand now. Thank God for the opportunity.
Remember, someone witnessed to you at one time. Look at what God has cultivated in your life. What a wonderful God we serve. Don't you think He can do the same to the person you witness to?
Your servant in Christ Jesus.
