In Genesis 1:11,12 God established some things in this physical world that also apply to us spiritually. Genesis 1:11,12 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Based just on that we know that because God spoke those words they are still in effect now. If you take a seed and put it in the ground and give it water and light at some point you will see the fruit of that seed(the thing) on the outside. On the spiritual side the word of God is the seed (Mark 4:14), the water (Isa. 55:10,11), the light (Psalm 119:130), and your heart/spirit is the ground (Mark 4:15). When God spoke to the earth He gave it the ability to bring forth those things. And it will always have that ability (Genesis 8:22). Genesis 8:22 says, that as long as the earth remaineth seedtime and harvest shall not cease. That's why in the times of famine it was because of no rain or water because if rain or water hits the earth it will bring forth.

In Genesis 1:28 we see God speaking to man, And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. That word "Fruitful" mean to bring forth. And Jesus backs that up in Matthew 12:35, A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. So, God was speaking to spirit man and just as the earth brings forth the fruit of the seeds planted in it, the heart/spirit of man is going to bring forth the fruit of the word seeds planted in it. That's what Jesus is talking about in that context for before that he said, Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. What Jesus is saying is you know what kind of tree it is by the fruit that appears on it. In other words you know what has been put in the ground by what comes out of the ground. That's why he says in verse 34, O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. In other words if evil is in you then that's what's going to come out of you by your words. That's what he says in verse 35 you bring forth out of you based on what's in you.

All Jesus is talking about is the heart/spirit of man and the words that are planted in him and spoken out of him. When something is in your heart in abundance and you speak it out you will bring that forth. What you have on the inside there will be a manifestation of it on the outside. What people don't understand is God put increase in man(spirit man). Just as God put increase in the earth, Leviticus 26:4, Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Notice, the land shall yield her increase. So, when a seed is planted in the earth it's the increase in the earth by which the seed will yield it's fruit. Notice, it's a process when the rain comes to the earth it causes/makes the earth yield it's increase and by the earth yielding it's increase then the seed will yield it's fruit. In Isaiah 55:10,11 God says, For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void(without fruit), but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Remember, God's word is the seed and the water. So, God is also telling you about his word and the effect it has on your heart/spirit.

In 1 Corinthians 3:6,7 it tells you how the seed of the word is planted and watered, I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. So, hearing is planting and watering. That's why Romans 10:17 says, that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And the most sure way of hearing is by you speaking it. Remember, in Luke 17 when the disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith and Jesus said to them, And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. 6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. Notice, if you had faith as a seed because it wasn't his job to increase their faith the increase was in them all they had to do was plant and water the seed. Notice, in Isaiah 55:10 it says that God gives seed to the sower so He is not the sower man is. Notice, something about the seed of the word in Romans 1:16 it says that the word of God is the power of God. And yet, we know that a seed with all it's ability will do nothing until it is planted, that's where we come in. Actually, I don't know if you know what this means, but God has made us an activator of the power of God. If you want to see the power of God work in your life then plant and water the seeds of his word.

In Mark chapter 5 it shows us about a woman that had an issue of blood for 12 years and there are some things in that we need to see. And there was a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 And who had endured much [a]suffering under [the hands of] many physicians and had spent all that she had, and was no better but instead grew worse. 27 She had heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment, 28 For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health. 29 And immediately her flow of blood was dried up at the source, and [suddenly] she felt in her body that she was healed of her [[c]distressing] ailment. 30 And Jesus, recognizing in Himself that the power proceeding from Him had gone forth, turned around immediately in the crowd and said, Who touched My clothes? 31 And the disciples kept saying to Him, You see the crowd pressing hard around You [d]from all sides, and You ask, Who touched Me? 32 Still He kept looking around to see her who had done it. 33 But the woman, knowing what had been done for her, though alarmed and frightened and trembling, fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, Daughter, your faith (your [e]trust and confidence in Me, springing from faith in God) has restored you to health. Go in [f](into) peace and be continually healed and freed from your [[g]distressing bodily] disease. Notice, in verse 32 Jesus looked around to see her who had done it, so she did something. She operated in this principle notice in verse 28 for she kept saying or she planted and kept watering. And what she had on the inside there was a manifestation of it on the outside. And notice the seed she planted determined what she would see manifested. The amazing thing about it is Jesus gave the credit to her, verse 34, what came out of you has restored you to health. Now, we know that it was the power of God(the anointing) that did it, but it was what she did that caused the anointing to do what it did. So, again I say if you want to see the power of God work in your life plant and water the seeds of his word.

It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
