I find that as believers of the word, we sometimes tend to take our own
biblical pencil and make corrections to how we feel it apply to us. What i
mean, is that, we often misconstrue what the bible means and we often
defy the text. A good example is that of loving our brothers. I'm pretty
sure that most christians hold a bit of racism in thier hearts regardless of
the words matthew spoke; "Love your enemies". I speak these words
as a recovering christian who was a very judgmental man but now i can
never be that man again. Never be two separate people, always be one
which can always follow God endlessly without any chance for reward.
The greater reward is often won when the battle is raging at the end of
the days and who will be thier to collect?
A lesson to learn friends is that we should always wait for our lord
because it will often illicit the total reward; a beautiful life. Surely, we
may choose to act on our own and defy the all powerful but we will
most certainly be stricken down as i was. Christ holds the best for us in
a secure place; much like buried treasure waiting to be unearthed.
Should we take our shovel and try digging for it, we will certainly find
fool's gold. Much like oyster's who take a small grain of sand; over time
it will become a beautiful pearl with endearing qualities.
God bless you all and love in christ
