I find that as believers of the word, we sometimes tend to take our own

biblical pencil and make corrections to how we feel it apply to us. What i

mean, is that, we often misconstrue what the bible means and we often

defy the text. A good example is that of loving our brothers. I'm pretty

sure that most christians hold a bit of racism in thier hearts regardless of

the words matthew spoke; "Love your enemies". I speak these words

as a recovering christian who was a very judgmental man but now i can

never be that man again. Never be two separate people, always be one

which can always follow God endlessly without any chance for reward.

The greater reward is often won when the battle is raging at the end of

the days and who will be thier to collect?

A lesson to learn friends is that we should always wait for our lord

because it will often illicit the total reward; a beautiful life. Surely, we

may choose to act on our own and defy the all powerful but we will

most certainly be stricken down as i was. Christ holds the best for us in

a secure place; much like buried treasure waiting to be unearthed.

Should we take our shovel and try digging for it, we will certainly find

fool's gold. Much like oyster's who take a small grain of sand; over time

it will become a beautiful pearl with endearing qualities.

God bless you all and love in christ

That's the title of a book I've been reading 'Fools Gold'
about discerning the truth.
It's an excellant read.

What would you say of someome then who said that all muslims should be put back on a plane and sent out of our country, is that right thinking would you say?
I'm an thinking on the scripture 'love your enemies' that Matthew wrote, quoted already below.

I would say that's the most racial, discriminative thing for anyone to say...
Wasn't that the same thinking Hitler had.
Shipping them off won't lower the crime rate, abortion rate or raise the literacy rate.

I understand the fear some people live in, just knowing their neighbours are muslims. But diversity should not produce ignorant thinking in us. I grew up among muslims and hindus, and the best way to know someone's character, is getting to know them outside of their beliefs. When we learn to walk hand in hand with each other we'll learn people's motives.

I'm not saying meddle in people's lives, but when you look at serial killers and teachers who sleep with students, their nieghbours always say.. " But they were nice people..yada yada, blah blah blah ".

Sure they were,,
when we take special time to get to know people, we are able to evaluate if something is wrong with them.

So what I'm saying is, for anyone to make that statement,
fear what they don't know, and instead of trying to know their neighbours its easy to get rid of them..

You are right sister

Let's look at who Jesus says our neighbor is: You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:43

Romans 13:8-10, Paul says:

Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

You spoke just as i thought Rizen
it was said by the Pastor of a church I've been going to lately, he's been a Pastor for over 50yrs.
The minute he said it I knew it wasn't right.
How will they know the truth if all we want to do is shoo them away.

Didn't Jesus Himself mix with others, the woman from Samaria, Jews wouldn't even associate with them, to mention just one.

Hey Solidsnakeslug

Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the groung and dies, there will be no starting again anew!!

There will be no new birth to happen. I once was that kernel of wheat that refused to fall and die. Like yourself you can continue to fight but the fall at one time could of been easier!!

But no we ride it out and the the hard one comes.

I hope for many sooner comes before later. The pain of later was horrific and like you said I would never ever want to return to it.

I guess that is what puts the passion into why we try soooo hard to help others heading in the same direction. With the remote hope they will choose the easier path than we did. Thats where I get the grizzly part of me from. The passion to help others in that self destruct mode.

Love ya Bro and Keep on Stayin strong in Him.
Take care
