Hello brothers and sisters, I'm a Christian and meditation practitioner and I've got a question on a topic that's troubling me for a while now since its controversial. I want to open my third eye, but New Age meditation on that is just occult. Is it possible to awaken the third eye through Jesus Christ? And how it can be done? Has anyone on this forum merged Christianity with Spiritual practices such as meditation? Again, I'm not talking about New Age occult which is all about self-worship and separation from God. So if anyone has experience please share your opinion. May God be with you all.

Next....the concept of a third eye, is common to pagan religions, as well as the occult but the connection to Scripture is????
To be honest I've also been leery of "meditation practices" because the practices are normally Eastern in origin and have just been Christianized to make their use more palatable to the uninitiated Christian, who are mostly found in the West. No problem with meditating upon the Word of God, but that is not what the purpose of the meditation methods (methodology) which are described by and for those who are professing Christians in these practices actually wind up doing.
Practices that if I'm not mistaken, is not something that is acceptable on Talk Jesus. I'll add our Administrator @Chad to this post, so if I'm wrong in this or there is more to add he may do so.
However, with all that being said

Since you are a Christian, and I can only go by what you say, and you are troubled, I would say God is troubling you over it. There is no third eye for you to open. The Christian moves in the spirit realm already. His eyes are already opened.
Meditation is all right if you are thinking on the things of God, and Jesus Christ, and His written Word. But to practice any form of meditation that puts your mind in neutral is not of God, and is of satan.
So, concerning the 'third eye', stay away from such practice.
