This is driving me insane I do believe. I don't know about anyone else here but sometimes (more than most) one small thought that pops into my head will turn into a few long minutes of pure madness. I KNOW satan is behind it - One minute it will be what someone has done to hurt me or something someone said that was offensive & the next thing I know I will be in a deep trance of evil thinking. Revenge & madness to say the least. It's as if I can't let go of the past or can't allow myself to forgive & I hate it. There is nothing more that I want than to forgive people. I know it's not easy but it's what God wants us to do. I want to obey him in every way possible. I am so tired of wasting time dwelling on the past & in some thoughts things that haven't even happened. It's as if I think too much. The older I get the more I am able to see what is happening. Before I was an angry time bomb, now I have control but my mind won't seem to let things go & move on. I thank God for him - He has been the only one that can hold my hand & work in me to help me walk with him.

THANK YOU JESUS for ALL YOU DO FOR ME!!!!!

Evil spirits pray on many people, they often attack me, but they are simply spirits that try to make us believe that their thoughts are our own thoughts. They do this for two reasons. One is to try and get us to follow their advise, the other is to make us feel guilty and set apart from God for the thoughts they bring to us. They really have no power over us. Simply rebuke any evil thought and do not accept it as yours by dwelling on it or pondering it. Rebuke it and the evil spirit who spoke it to your mind. It will be but one of thousands of battles we wage in the spirit, for we do not wage against flesh and blood. This "is" our fight. Be courageous and fight the good fight, and the Lord will help you train to be a "better" spiritual warrior.

You may have heard it said that God won't let you go through more than you can handle but what you may not have heard is that God has a better opinion of you than you do.
James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
James 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
James 1:4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Now God does not send these things
James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

God uses everything for good even if he did not cause it.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

So those who seem to have harmed me did so for my good although that was probably not their intention.
So they must be teaching me to have peace in Jesus.
Jesus tells us to overcome evil with good and pray for our enemies.
Also to bless those who despitefully use us.
To be love and light in a dark and desperately fearful world,to be a light to the world.

When I pray for those who seem to oppose me I pray for them as children.
Why should an eternal one judge a human by what time has twisted and distorted them into.
It's easy to love, forgive and pray for children and a child still lives in each.

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Mark 10:14
When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

He came as a child to collect children so to pray for them as children and
hold them up to God with a childlike heart just seems good to me.
Peace and Godspeed.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.
Isaiah 26:3

Greetings sister @LordKnows

You have received some excellent replies here.

I just wanted to add that you are not alone...and one tactic I have used is to start to sing and praise the Lord.
It is very true that the joy of the Lord is our strength....use it:)

The lyrics of a Don Francisco song come to mind

He said, satan, the accuser
Has been whisperin' in your ear
You just tell him you're forgiven
He's got no business here

Cause it doesn't matter what you've done
It matters what you'll be
There is no condemnation
When the Son has set you free
