Hi Folks, just a few words on faith to encourage you.
Eph 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,
Eph 2:9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
For we have been saved by grace through faith, and this faith is not of ourselves it is the gift of God. So the gift from God it's God's faith imparted to us.
Mar 11:22 And answering Jesus said to them, Have faith of God.
The more literal translations tend to say, ' Have faith of God' or 'Have the faith of God.'
So if the faith is of God and not of ourselves, which it is according to Ephesians 2:8 then this faith is as dependable as God, Himself is.
Mar 11:23 For truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain, Be moved and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he said shall occur, he shall have whatever he said.
Can the faith of God remove a mountain and cast it into the sea? Since He created the heavens and the earth and everything in it in seven days by his faith Hebrews 11:3, and the heavens are the work of his fingers Psalm 8:3, something he did easily. Of course it can! So as believers we have a measure of God's faith. How much faith do we need to move a mountain?
Mat 17:20 And Jesus said to them,.. ...For truly I say to you, If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Move from here to there. And it shall move. And nothing shall be impossible to you.
So Jesus said faith like a grain of mustard seed removes mountains but not only mountains. He said nothing will be impossible for us! That is the ones with a grain of mustard seed size faith of God.
