I was inspired to write this after a conversation we had in the chat room here...
I've realised today how great a thing God made when He created time.
I mean, (thanks to the internet) at the same time, one person could be talking to you from the "past" and another from the "future" yet in reality it is all the same time, the present. For example, in America, the time for them is about 10am on Wednesday October 1st (depending where) which is in the past for us in the UK, yet in Sydney it's now just after midnight, meaning it is Thursday October 2nd, which is in our future, And yet we are all in communication with each other, at the same time, the present. It's so mind boggling, and so clever that we don't understand it, yet God does, He created it. I mean, how can we be talking to each other at the same time, yet be in completely different days? It's mad!
Do you not just find that awesome, that someone can create something like that? I do!
Whats more, we know that God is out side of space and time, and He watches over our lives and to him, in equivilants to our time, our life is equal to a matter of seconds, maybe even only a few milliseconds.
Isn't that amazing?
God is so big, so amazing, that He watches over us, and is involved with every intricate detail of our lives, yet it is only a minute part of His existence that it takes up for Him, in His timing, so He can be doing other marvelous things for his creation, like making stars, and galaxies and things... ( I've been watching Louis Giglio's dvds - Indescribable and How great is our God - I reccomend you get your hands on them, ASAP, they're too good to miss!)
Anyway, so another thing I've learnt today, and this is just as amazing, is that there is really no point in wishing yourself back in time, cause what's the point?
God has planned your life from start to finish, and so things won't change, your life so far has been just the way God wants it to be, going back in time won't change anything, your life is the way God wants it.
We shouldn't wish for the past to be changed, and I'm the biggest culprit for that. We should be thankful for the wonderful gift that God has given us, a life on this earth.
More importantly, we should be thankful He gives us a second chance, or a third chance or even a hundred millionth chance. There are still several more years for us to get it right.
And if that isnt enough, He gives us a chance to start all over again, without the temptation of sin, and pain of the Earth, in Heaven, when we die!
Don't you just think he is awesome?!? I do!
