I heard a quote once..."If you're too busy for God, then you're too busy." This is a true statement, and we can be assured that the devil will see to it that everything needs our immediate attention each time we try to "get alone with God". Every distraction or hinderance, no matter how small, will seem as though they must be dealt with "at this very moment". Some good scriptures to remember are: Psalm 63:1, "O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;" Proverbs 8:17, "I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me." Isaiah 26:9,With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness." Seeking God early in your day will cause the day to go much smoother and seeking God early in our lives help prevent the pitfalls that the devil places before us. God desires to fellowship with us and desires our worship, but He doesn't intrude in our lives. He wants us to want to fellowship with Him and worship Him, so we must make it our #1 priority---before spouse, family, church, friends or anything/anybody. He waits patiently for us to commune with Him because He loves us so very much. He wants us to share everything with Him, although He already knows it. He doesn't tire of our repetition.
May God help you to set your priorities to give Him first place in everything...begin by saying, "Good morning, LORD!" not dreading to face the day, as some might say, "Good lord it's morning again". Psalm 55:17, "Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice." Breathe a prayer as you go about your daily tasks.
