UMC North Georgia Conference blocks churches from leaving, pauses disaffiliation process

Best for a true believer to walk out the door and go to a full gospel church that preaches sound doctrine.

The interesting thing is this.

The UMC does not support gay marriage.

The Book of Disciple state that homosexuality is a sin.

So the UMC is not support gay marriage, however people are leaving because some

people in the conferences are causing problems. Therefore many people are leaving on both

sides, both people for and people against.

The UMC is a global church and at annual conference they set the policy and belief statements.

Currently the status quo is that homosexuality is a sin. There is where the UMC stands, but chaos

is happening as some are trying to change it. It has not been changed yet. The African and Asian conferences

have been the ones voting against gay marriage and unfortunately many in the Americas and European conferences

want to promote gay marriage.

Dear Brother,
I find it funny if it weren't so sad, that how they view the actions of those presenting material on the disaffiliation process as being a "breach of integrity."!!!
As if going against a long-standing tradition and Scriptural evidence in the UMC against homosexuality and now promoting this abomination (Lev 18:22; 20:13) is reflective of one having "integrity"!!!

And the battles rages on...

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

I left because the North Georgia UMC support gay marriage and tried to force it in church's. The Bishops thought they were in the majority, but they did a test vote and found out over half the church's would leave. This gave them a shock. So the Bishop ordained gay's to serve as Pastors, Church's started leaving in droves.

Yes indeed,

Things are being shaken up for sure.

Let's endure to the end.

Amen. Some of them are so "WOR:LD" affiliated it is shameful. Many of the Episcopal Church USA are in the same crowd. I snidely call then the Ecusa of the Brethren (as they continually accuse thoise who want to bring the Church into the world rather than the world into the Church. It is all part of the great falling away.
